    Read carefully!

Even though, this is still on top in the category listing, because of all the endorsements it had over the many many years, it is not to be used in 2024 anymore!

Don't use it! Not only is it beta,  but it was never tested with Windows 10 and 11 (last release was in 2008, 7 years before Windows 10 was released), nor was it developed with these in mind.

Use Oblivion Display Tweaks, alongside MoreHeap, 4GB Patch and dxvk. These will solve nearly all issues with Oblivion, regarding crashes because of memory use, windows compatibility, Alt+Tabbing etc. I posted more detailed instructions, on what exactly to pay attention to, and links and ini settings, in the Posts sections of MoreHeap (and some others). Search for that long post there, for more information.

If not using Oblivion Reloaded/ORC, what about using ENBoost instead?

Most guides that recommend this and other old optimizers were suggested without current gen modding, optimizing, and tech in mind. This type of fix and many others have been streamlined into current modding so you don't need to bother with this. Unless you are on a potato with xp don't get this and follow these guides at your discretion. These were put together with all the up to date programs and modding. (I'm not one of the doomsayers that scream that it doesn't work I'm just saying that once you get most the other fixes this becomes fairly obsolete or just makes things messy)

    P.S.
I wouldn't use OBMM and use MO2. You are able to run TES4Edit, Wyre Bash, as well as BOSS all through MO2 and it handles Bashes and Load Order much better than OBMM. Also MO2 makes modding multiple games smooth and easy.

      Hehe. "Streamlined".

Thanks for the guides, they've been very helpful, plus I second what you said about MO2, it's the best mod tool currently.

Is there anyway to make streamline not affect actor values while still affecting object values?

You can set the actor distance in the sl.ini file to be higher. I find a distance of 6.5 is adequate because after that the distance is so far they're nearly imperceivable

Are we able to turn off the "Streamlined" popup up after every time we take damage?

      Stick them in your ear.

In all seriousness, try clicking them and see what happens... They'll ask where you want to extract the files too. In there will be your instructions.

Does this mod still work fine? Wanted to see if adding this will help with outdoor stutters. I am using OR and bevilex's list

Way late, but seems to be working for me. Used the Streamline v3.0 - Open Beta 4 version. I also followed Bevilex' mod guide, but skipped OR.

I installed this manually (directions are in the mod folder) and then edited sl.ini to disable FPS smoothing and timed autosaves.

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion\Data\Streamline\INI Files\sl.ini

[Main Config Settings]                    Turn parts of Streamline 3.0 on and off
set SLv.Purging               to       1  ; Turn on cache clearing (purging)?
set SLv.FPSsmoothing          to       0  ; Turn on FPS smoothing? (this is what modifies your Oblivion.ini settings during gameplay to improve FPS; I didn't want this)
set SLv.Streamsaving          to       0  ; Turn on Streamsaving? (timed autosaves) (doesn't seem necessary to me, ymmv)

Hitching/stutters when walking around outside seem to have been reduced by half, maybe more. Still there, but wayyy less noticeable.

OR has its own cell buffer purging which you will want to turn off in it's .ini
possible that it has some advantages over streamline for all i know just due to being much more recent, but otherwise is just purging on a static timer which isn't ideal

i *think* OR's FPS smoothing should be compatible with streamlines smoothing (streamline changes things like object/item/actor view distances on the fly, OR fps smoothing only touches OR related stuff)

Works perfectly for me, I just wanted to know if there is a way to make the streamsaves overwrite themselves instead of always creating new saves. After playing for an hour I always have to delete some save files.

Recommend, noticeably reducing stutter and better performance. Currently using alongside Oblivion Stutter Remover with config of Oblivion Stutter Remover - Optimized INI File and Oblivion Display Tweaks.

Edit: I'm now using the v3.1 with patch.
