So I managed to automate like 75% of the conversion process from Oblivion to FNV. I'm not really sure what I intend to do with this, if anything. But I do think it would be really nice to have Oblivion on a slightly newer, more stable (with mods), and more popular engine with a living script extender scene. On the other hand, there are obviously tons of engine-level differences in the scripting and fundamental character mechanics that would be pretty difficult to work around, so who knows.

    Update: I have ported basically all of the worldspaces & interiors and have LOD fully working including trees. Weathers, items, and NPCs are all working to varying degrees. Next steps are adding in the beast races and magic stuff.

    I like the idea! Fallout is not known to be stable? What medicine have you used?

      The FNV engine is actually pretty stable, relative to Oblivion at least. Doubly so with the recommended NVSE plugins and performance tweaks. The main issue is plugins themselves having bad edits and assets.
