I have been avoiding the main quest like a case of witbane, but somehow it found me anyway. Was just running around HESU Shipton and Hirtel ran up to me and started my worst nightmare. I shot him down in anger because it's too late to go back now. I found out that I somehow triggered the quest about 12 hours ago in my game. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!! I don't even have the amulet yet, it is still in the belly of a dead rat in the sewers.

    That's bad, I hate those gates too.
    I read on the net you can quickly close them by clicking on them in the console and then typing CloseOblivionGate.
    Or CloseCurrentOblivionGate while inside the gate.

      I want to play the main quest at least one more time with MOO and XCN just to see how crazy the spawns get. I have an old 750+ hour game where I never even met Martin.
