FYI: This is an effect I'm working on that can be used as an alternative to OR's Volumetric Fog effect (upon which this is based). Need to do some more testing and will probably wait till the new OR release (hopefully soon), but planning to make this available as part of an OR preset with some other custom effects. My big "to do" here is tweaking weather settings to avoid extreme saturation/fogging/brightness.

Personally I would consider this an upgrade over the OR VoluFog, will you be willing to share the shader? I'd love to include it in my config. Though maybe the best thing I could do would be to direct users to your mod and just include an INI with my config?

BTW changing Screenshot Mode to 0 in the OBR ini lets you export higher quality screens, the jpg option only outputs compressed 24 bit and the bmp option outputs uncompressed 32 bit which is good to convert to png for a little quality bump.

It'll probably be best to include it in your own config because 1) it will likely need a bit of tailoring to look good with specific colour and weather settings and 2) most of the code isn't mine anyway so I have very little intellectual claim over the actual effect.
TBH it's taking a lot of trial and error to get the effect right, because my maths and hlsl are bad. Today for example I realised I'd been calculating the fog result backwards for weeks so have corrected that in the code.

Thanks for the screenshot tip. There is some banding here which I think is caused by another effect I'm using which is trying to add a vignette but with very obvious gradations. I might drop it if I can't tune-out the artifacts. On a related note, I've also ported a debanding effect which I'm adding to my effect pipeline!

I like this "deep s*** tinckering". There seem to be no end to the possibilities.
I like the way it looks here btw.
    :)
