Die Ära von Valenwood / L'ère Valenwood

This is a 14th. century French virelai written by Guillaume de Machaut 1300 – 1377

Falinesti

"Sprawling across both banks of the river stood the mighty graht-oak city,
with groves and orchards of lesser trees crowding it like supplicants before their king.
At a lesser scale, the tree that formed the moving city would have been extraordinary:
gnarled and twisted with a gorgeous crown of gold and green, dripping with vines and shining with sap."

Waughin Jarth

an older ingame picture;

Waughin Jarth:
was a notable Breton writer, author of a great deal of books, many of them historical works.
In his series The Wolf Queen, he is reported to have used over 100 different sources to collect the information.
He has also written a number of other books, including the four-part series The Argonian Account, The Asylum Ball,
A Dance in Fire (seven part series), The Exodus, Feyfolken (three part series), and Purloined Shadows.

Falinesti:
is one of the eight major cities in the province of Valenwood, being the capital of the entire province.

It is the seat of power for the Camoran Dynasty, who have reigned over Valenwood since the beginning of the first era.

One of the best parts in the Elder scrolls universe is the amount of effort the creators put into making it's lore. Great shot !

I've never played Oblivion, but I have watched my daughter do so and I've always liked pseudo-gothic style of the churches and cathedrals in that game, as well as the pseudo-medieval houses and other buildings and your angle of view really captures the majesty of the building.

And that music is both perfect to accompany that image, and truly wonderful simply for it's sounds...I believe I even heard a hurdy-gurdey being used for the backing!

    Brlliant works, dear Claudia!

What an honour. Thank you very much.
I have to admit that I love Oblivion the most from Bethesda games. It was written great, was well staged and was just fun.
The buildings are very nice. I like the forests very much. There are also wonderful mods and textures for it.
      Many thanks to all modders.
Have a nice week. And thanks again.
