It looks like the wall where the pillars are standing on is partly made out of glass, the whole structure looks like it should collapse under its weight.

Its not solid glass, but thin glass plates put on for decoration, if it makes you feel better.
I think the upper frieze borde at the entablature is too much. The architecture of the Middle Ages (or medieval period), has held back particularly in religious buildings color. Of course, this is just an advice.(-;
