Thank you again, but now I'm just getting an over-inflated ego. Too bad I just finished this play through. I'm enjoying the evolution of your Skyrim character, tough yet soft.
This image is incredible... The almost, but not exactly, sepia lighting and god rays make it look partly like an actual photo, and partly like a painting... all of which is enhanced by the textures. Wonderful!
Thank you very much Sonja. You have a photographer's eye for analysis. I was just arriving at the Gold Coast before dawn after a long night of travel from the Imperial City. I was just appointed Arch Mage and decided to relax for awhile in Anvil. I needed to stop over to see Varel Morvayn, as he is my go-to guy for dumping higher priced items. So anyway, I walk in the main gate and could tell right away it was going to be a beautiful sun rise (it hadn't peaked over the hills just yet). I just stood there and waited for the sun to make its appearance. When it did, I saw this and just had to capture it. I was in the right place at the right time.
You are welcome *smiles* To be honest, I do dabble in RL photography, so I very much appreciate that compliment. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I see a shot, and deliberately wait for the right lighting, other times it is a matter of turning around or suddenly looking in a particular direction, and thinking "Wow!" On occasion, it's even a combination of those two ... waiting/setting up, and then, unexpectedly, being greeted by something entirely serendipitous.
One thing about this shot that drew me is that Anvil is one of my favourite cities (just slightly behind Skingrad), and you captured its beauty so well.
