More messing with character shots. I find this is a catch 22. The head-tracking and facial expressions are better in Oblivion, but console camera commands are more fine-tuned in Skyrim. Ah well ;)
Thank you! I find that observation interesting, because the Morrowind vibe is not something I've tried to do intentionally... I've come to truly appreciate Oblivion over the years, and Skyrim too, but Morrowind remains my first love. Maybe I'm subconsciously trying to replicate the Morrowind (modded, though) lighting? Or maybe I just choose mods that evoke a particular feeling that somehow add a Morrowind sensibility. I'm not quite sure. Perhaps, also, the fact that I usually try to recreate my Morrowind characters in Oblivion may add to that as well, at some level.
I can confirm that one of the things in this image reminding me of Morrowind is the looks of your character. Her face in particular makes me think of those beautiful custom heads made by some awesome modders back in the day. The lighting also plays an important role here, as well as the color of the distant mountains fading in the sky. I mean, the Oblivion we all know is mostly green forests and blue sky while Morrowind is rather... grey and brownish... ah good memories!
Funny you should say that, because Mirelle is certainly a recreation of my MW character, and in my head her Oblivion adventures are a continuation of her story (so that part definitely was intentional): Here is the comparison shot, https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/images/170627 So you're making that observation is a real compliment!
In terms of the colours and lighting, I am actually using Cyrodiil ENB, which gives a subtle warm hue to everything, so that is probably adding more brownish shades here and there, especially during sunrise and sunset. As you say, the mountains in this shot are a definite example of that.
@roblesstevena, Not really..... I use the mod "Alternate Beginnings." She arrived in Cyrodiil via ship... Though, she was horribly seasick, and as a result became greatly weakened.. Silly girl forgot how miserable she was during that very first sea voyage...
Thank you I have found that Cyrodiil ENB combines really nicely with All Natural, so I'm pretty sure the colour tone is all thanks to that. Of course, the textures help too, but lighting is just so key.
Absolutely agree. The lighting makes the image. I don't think I've tried that ENB. I've been using Candid ENB Reborn for quite awhile. Maybe it's time for a change.

"Ugh, this again. Why am I back in the Imperial Prison?"
