I wonder if the lightning timing is based on the game timer. So, if you from console : Set timescale to 1if it would make a difference in capturing it. I often go down to 2 if i am doing a stealthy quest mission thingy. Then up to 1500 if i want time to pass while i'm trespassing/bugged-enemy nearby/bugged Guard is chasing you
Hmmm.... that may just bear some investigation... While I'm comfortable with using the console, and competent at it, I don't like to open it too much, just for semi RP reasons.. However, I suspect my interest in capturing lightening for screenshots may win out. Thanks for the suggestion.

And I find it so very difficult to capture lightening flashes in screenshots. I've never succeeded in grabbing anything worth posting.
