About this image

Really enjoying my time modding MERP. Working on a fantasy enb to compliment it and I have filled it with my texture creations.
MERP is a wonderful place to roam as an explorer although it is unfinished. I am working on finishing some of the locations and will release an alpha mod file when I can.
However, there are about 2-300 floating rocks south of bree that refuse to lie down....
dropping them on the ground is no problem in the cs but it just wont save the changes..
if anyone can fathom this out I would be eternally grateful.
more here..

Yay .. Tried to get merp 0,2.6 from moddb for three days in a row. Finally!, I got the whole 2.5 gb download. Pheew ...

I cannot look into MERP right now. Can you save at all? Like, causing the "changed-asterisk" in the CS title bar to appear, and save as, say, "My Merp patch.esp"?

Can you open MERP in CSE? When last I did it, I saw error messages like I have never seen before or after, like "rock 0x12345678 belonging to cell 0x87654321, but actually being somewhere else" (something like that). Many of these errors.

Whenever I want to see a REF with a known hex-code in the Render window, I run a tiny Coda function:

    coda(adhoc, "0.0000")
    ;runcodascript adhoc 0
    begin
LoadRefIntoRenderWindow(RefFID( 0x12345678 )) ; or whatever that rock ref was
    end

Then, in the Render window, I get the rock, and, far, far, away, a single cell -- the cell that actually owns that rock. I mean, that's not right -- Or is it?

But that's just me mimicking a brainstorm (a mild breeze, no doubt).

Btw, scanning AAHalios2 for floating rocks by means of a coda script took my box 4 hours (finding just eight ^^). Since the used algorithm is as quadratic as are the maps it's working on, it's probably not a feasible way of doing things on the whole map of Middle-Earth (or AAMaranta)...

    ^^

I have made an esp "middle earth extended" which saves. what puzzles me is some changes I make for instance placing a ship near harlindon etc.works. adding my effects works but saving rocks that I have grounded does not work. reload and there they are again, about 300 odd defying gravity...
The merp construction set just crashes so I use CS extended which seems fine and does not ctd.
As you might see from another image, I have solved the years old puzzle concerning pixelated chess board lod. pop the champagne, I mean really...I have tried for years to solve this one...

I have the same problem when changing my own world-space. My changes refuse to show up in game, as long as I use a save-game in the same world-space. But the changes are made.
    It is very annoying-.-
Will you release the whole mod? I can not download the original, and that would be fantastic!

I would have to get permission from the merp team I am sure. If so I could release the whole mod as installed in my game. The caveat being that no other land mass mods could be activated at the same time and only a few other mods could be activated also.
There was a time when I could run 200 plus mods and merp, but ironically my new rig which is 10 times quicker cant do it.....

Keep in mind that the MERP team got a cease and desist a couple years back, which is why the project was abandoned.

I remember that - it was outrageous. If I remember correctly it was the movie producers who threw C& at MERP team. Apparently they were going to release a game based on the movie (rather not on the novel), and felt kind of anxious about MERP being much better than their product (which I guess it was - I never saw any LOTR movie-based game, at least not one that was good enough to be noticed).
Hopefully now, when LOTR trilogy (and even Hobbit) is old news, their demands stand no more. MERP team may have lost steam and motivation after that silly incident, but their creation deserves to be brought back to live again.

Discovery, I keep my fingers crossed for your success. From what I've seen it's as picturesque as Ubanga, only LotR-themed

One thing I totally object to is some monolith of a company trying to take away the creative rights of an individual and control the output of a theme written for the common people by a person who shared his creativity and genius for the enlightenment of a generation.
As I understand it the Tolkien family instigated a suite against Warner Brothers for portraying the great mans work not in the spirit it was written. And I agree just to much violence..the hobbit is ridiculous and a poor interpretation of the novel. Special effects yeah great to a point but its just art for arts sake.

As for me, I have always rebelled against draconian legislation. publish and be damned....

I can't view your other on the link, but this one is awesome. If this is the ENB you're talking about, it's perfect in all points.
