About this image

I finally caved in and made a chocolate elf while trying to escape the "plastic doll" syndrome that 98% of the chocolate elfs have, also not using XEO's head...It was sort of a success, her skin doesn't look like plastic even tough the nimaterial property gloss is set at 1000...downsides, her skin seems to have discoloration under most lighting settings (yes she is using a blank egt.)

Meh...was a funny experiment, dunno if I'll keep her, might save her face presets for a future character that uses the same head

That's the most beautiful chocolate elf I have ever seen around TES related sites

In this light her skin looks to be ok to me, but then I know not of what it would look like in other conditions. I have liked the look myself of chocolate elves, but shy away from using that race because of the "plastic" look of the skin.
I don't know enough to mess around with the CK to change things myself or I would have by now...

I said this in steam but why not again: Good job
Also quality here is much better than imgurs xD (1,2mb vs 300kb)

Never tried chocolate elves myself cause of the "plastic doll" thing
But I have a understanding the glossy skin is related to 3 things, one being the use of a program called "glossMAX", the use of nifskope and its gloss options and finally the third one with is the black or white tones in the normal maps' alpha channel

    Looks good!

glossMax pretty much sets the gloss value in Nifskope's NiMaterial property to 100 for all nodes in a certain nif, you can actually go higher than that, like 300 and so far (tested) up to 1000 (which looks better than 100 if you know how to tweak it), the rest is handled by the textures's n_map.

I basically switched the n_map that came with those choco textures with the one I use for Revy's textures and bam! no more plastic skin

    Thanks!

For those that asked, it is a custom race using Lop Elf Head and some "choco" elf textures easily found if you google something like "Oblivion chocolate elf"

    The armor/outfit is a mash-up I made a good while ago.

I would like to know as well, what is the outfit and character's race in the picture?
    BTW lovely character you made!

I think it has something to do with the skin glossiness option you get with the mod, you have 3 choices: no gloss, gloss 1 and gloss 2. I think a lot of people choose the gloss options which is why their chocolate elves look like plastic dolls.

Still nice character, despite the lop ears (never been a fan of that look) Revy's better looking though.

    Great character!!!. Please, two questions:
-What face/head and skin mods did you use?. I am very interested in your natural skin result. I am still beggining now the Oblivion (I started the saga with Skyrim), and i disclaim most of the mods.
-And second: Could you say me what armor is she wearing?. I am still beggining now the Oblivion (I started the saga with Skyrim), and i disclaim most of the mods.
