About this image

So... anybody else ever stumbled onto this farm? :D
I'm not sure if something odd happened, and my game suddenly has enlarged chickens, or if it's mod-related.
Either way, it gave me a good laugh!

By chance are you running any of the CUO mods?
The only time I've seen something like this was when I had the mod for CUO Chorrol installed.

I don't currently have it installed, but it is in a folder on my external drive, where I keep mods, old save games etc.
So, I could install it if I see more issues like that. I can sort of remember where the farm is too, for that matter.

To Sonya, Denny and the other guys having such problems:

As far as I know the problem with wrong scaled creatures is a problem which occur if you merge to many creature edits with Wrye Bash in a bashed patch.

The cannibal sheep are definitely not buggy, they are a part of a small hidden quest in Hesu's mod "Shipton".

There are videos about this quest:
    http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/videos/744/?
    http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/videos/771/?

If you repeatedly wander around the Gold Coast without ever solving the quest the Radiant-AI-Follow-Package of the sheep with your player character as target remains.

This is not a bug, the engine and the Radiant-IA-System works this way. This happened to me several times with Fallout New Vegas Quest mods too.

I can give you guys which suffer from this problems two advises:

You should not overdo it with complex mods. The engine is simply not made for this, it will always start to malfunction after some play time.

And if you install a Quest mod or a Landscape mod which contains quests, you should execute this quest uninterrupted and without waiting for to long or the AI-Packages of the added NPCs and creatures will become botched.

Thanks for the kind advice. I don't use Rye Bash but I have installed Highwood which makes conflict with Shipton. I'm still waiting for a patch. And for the chicken, as I said, I never saw this bug yet.

Hmm... I actually do use a Bash Patch, and my mod list is somewhat heavy...
I haven't merged any creature edits by myself, though. I've just ran the patch with the built-in suggestions.
I'm not really sure how to fix this, to be honest. I've become quite proficient with Wrye Bash in terms of installing/managing mods, and I *thought* I was OK with running a Bash Patch...
Ah well, I will keep an eye on it, see if I encounter any more scale issues.

I suppose I should also investigate those damned sheep as well then...
That sort of reminds me of an issue with Skyrim and the Dawnguard DLC.. there is a certain area you go in, and you need to complete a couple of quests there pretty much once you arrive, otherwise you tend to encounter errors. Given that one of them is a pain-in-the-arse (needle in haystack scenario), I actually use the console to complete it.

I play this game since 2008 and I never saw a mod doing that.
But I didn't try all mods yet.
Good luck to find what I personnaly think it's rather a bug.

If I see more huge chickens, I'll assume it's a bug as well.
However... given that there are also "cannibal sheep" in my game (it's a Hesu thing)... at this stage I'm willing to believe anything is possible.

Hesu is my prefered landscapes mod set but I think it's buggy, I mean terrain bogs and floating trees, there also is conflict with Grass Overhaul, so it's nessessary to install this grass mod for the nice textures but unchecking it in the launcher data. For the chicken problem, have you ask to the Hesu modders? Maybe they know how to solve it if the problem is on this side.

Ever have a sheep follow you around attack anything that attacked you? I have, it even followed me into oblivion and back out to Chorrol, then up to cloud ruler. Then the game crashed.

Yes, these sheeps are named "canibal" and I don't know why, they don't eat eachother. And they are probably buggy if the game crashes.

      Hmm...
So far I haven't had any floating object issues with Hesu... but of course, with these huge games, it's impossible to really know these things.
I don't use Grass Overhaul, I just have the Arboretum, Verdant Antithesis and Far Cry replacers.. but it *does* look nice from the images I have seen.

As to the chickens.. To be honest, I'm really not all that fussed at the moment. I just thought it was funny to see them on an isolated farm with "Farmer Jonathon" continuing to hoe his garden as if nothing was amiss.
If I start seeing them everywhere, then I'll pursue it, but otherwise.... Andierra will know where to go when she gets really hungry.

Luckily... so far I haven't had the sheep follow me....
