This one is an experiment, not entirely happy with it yet. Its done by creating the ivy as an object rather than a bitmap. You can then apply a drop shadow in photoshop or corel photo paint or duplicate the object, place it behind the original, lower the brightness and apply an opacity value to it. But what about performance? Doesn't it take a few fps off? A vine here and there probably wouldn't, but if you make grass this way? Also, the grass won't sway (not that I care personally - I disabled this thing and saved a few noticeable frames), unless you have something up your sleeve...

Ivy looks very real
