Put your party hats on - it’s time to celebrate! We’ve just added the 1,000th game (FIFA 20, if you're curious) to our site, meaning that Nexus Mods is now hosting mods for 1,000 different video games. This is as much an epic milestone in the 19 year history of our site and community as the over 100,000 mod authors, more than 21 million users, and over 4 BILLION downloads we have to date (you can see all of these stats on our homepage).
Reaching the 1,000 game milestone is a great opportunity to reflect a bit on how far the modding community has come in the last years: While it all started with the immense success of The Elder Scrolls series - most notably Skyrim - as our site has grown over the years, we are proud to say that we have become the home for many modders and modding communities from various games and game series!
Naturally, The Elder Scrolls and the Fallout series have always been a big staple of our site, but over the years we have seen many different games rise to the top and break into the ranks of the ~30 most popular moddable games.
From The Witcher, Dragon Age, or the Mass Effect series, to Stardew Valley, Subnautica, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and even more recent titles such as Monster Hunter: World, the VR hit Blade & Sorcery, and the long-awaited Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord, we’re now hosting thousands upon thousands of mods that have been downloaded millions of times. From the entire Nexus Mods team, a big thank you goes out to all the amazing mod authors who have chosen to share their creations on our site over the years. Oh, and if you haven’t already, you're more than welcome to opt into our Mod Author Rewards program in which we are doing our part to give back to our community of creators.

Every week even more mods are uploaded for games new and old, adding to our overall count of now 1,000 games that we host mods for. To celebrate this milestone, we’re giving away some awesome prizes in a fancy 1,000 Games Milestone Quiz.

Thank you all for staying with us over the years
Oh, and please do us a favour and don't spoil the fun of the quiz by discussing responses to the questions in the comments. If you have feedback, don't worry, I'm planning to do a little survey at the end of the event to see what you guys liked/didn't like.
