    The pak file appears in CreatedModPAKs with a copy in Builds and Builds\IncrementalBuilds.  Maybe no pak was created because the tool could not execute your script and there was an error.  Read the output of BuildMod.bat and the REPORT.txt file generated.
     
    If you answered Yes when the tool asked, you may have a copy already in your NMS MODS folder.
     
    Most of the info is shows in the BuildMod.bat window near the end and in the REPORT.txt file.

    Note if mods aren't working after major NMS updates or you get compiler errors, you have to wait some time until the MBinCompiler (which this tool depends on and downloads) gets updated. I assure you there is no earlier way to get your mods updated than with AMUMSS. You can check the status of MBinCompiler updates here to see if the MBIN your mod script needs is supported: https://github.com/monkeyman192/MBINCompiler/releases

    And yes this tool works with beyond !

    AMUMSS will work fine in its own folder. 
    But it will not work if in a system folder (like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\AutoModBuilder is)
     
    I will add this to AMUMSS Nexus main page to make it clearer:

    * De-compress the zip file to its own folder
    * Always de-compress in a new folder, never in a system folder
    * You can copy/paste these folders from the previous version of AMUMSS

    This thing keeps failing to compile a mod for me (NoRandomSentinels_Extended.lua), seemingly because it doesn't know how to interpret spaces in the path to the game. NMS_Folder.txt has C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky in it. However, when the build tool (BUILDMOD.bat) gets to the part where I press Y or N (copy the created mod to my mod folder), the window closes instantly and no mod is created.

    Log.txt says this:
    "Would you like to COPY the created Mod PAKs to your game folder and DELETE [DISABLEMODS.TXT]: [Y,N]?Y
    \Steam\steamapps\common\No was unexpected at this time."

    Notice how the path to the game gets cut off at "No Man's Sky" and just says No. Seems like BUILDMOD breaks if there's a space in the path.

    UPDATE EDIT: I fixed this by moving the entire AMUMSS folder to C:\AMUMSS. Previously, I had it in the same folder as NMS. That seems to break it. It works perfectly now.


    Mine is 'C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky' (because I use a Steam Library) and has no problem with it.  I don't think that is it...
    What is your AMUMSS version?
    If you are on the latest version, please post or link the complete Report.txt file.  Thanks

    Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I removed one of the mods that was creating about 100 of the conflicts. I had it generate a new report that I'll paste below. I placed two mods in the ModScript folder without a .lua script file hoping it would combine them, instead, as you know, it decompiled them. Which is no problem, I backed up the mods.
    Yes I am on Steam and I believe I'm using the normal public version and yes, everything is updated as current as possible. At the end of the report it says some conflicts can be resolved by combining the mods & that's what I was hoping I could do to fix the conflicts. Thanks again for your interest and any help, if possible.

    One thing that jumps to my eyes is that your MODS folder contains 2 mods that really are modifying almost all the same files:

    does having NMS downloaded on a different hard drive matter? it keeps telling me to edit NMS_folder.txt with the location of NMS, which i do. but it keeps saying that it will terminate the .bat until it is corrected. even though its the correct location of NMS.

    A proper path would be like "C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky".
    Did you use Steam itself to create that Library path?
    The path you have provided in 'NMS_FOLDER.txt' does not seem to provide a way to '\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS'

    Hi, I am having trouble figuring out exactly how to combine conflicting mods with this. I'm not familiar with scripting. I ran a few .lua files for 3 of my mods and it combined them into one, but the rest of my mods dont have .lua files. It told me I have around 140 mod conflicts! I only have around 30 mods in the folder, most are from an overhaul consisting of multiple .pak files.

    Is there a way to have AMUMMS go through each conflict so I can specify which mod to favor to create a single large mod? Or would I have to create a script to fix each of the 140 conflicts for individual mods? Is AMUMMS even the right tool for the job? I've read the 'Creating a Patch for existing MOD PAKs.txt' file but it didn't help me much.

    Any help would be appreciated since it seems most of my mods arent working as intended. Please forgive my cluelessness here. Thank you.


    As you can see in the Report.txt, the conflict are relative to the EXML/MBIN files. All together, your 30 mods have 140 EXML/MBIN files that somehow are modified by those mods.  AMUMSS does not look (yet) at the invidual values that are modified but only if the same files are affected by two or more mods (thus a conflict).

    A) Could link here the Report.txt file?  It would help me and you in understanding what is going on.
    B) Are you on Steam?  If yes, are you on 'stable/public' or on 'experimental'?
    C) Are you sure the mods are updated to the latest NMS?

      Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I removed one of the mods that was creating about 100 of the conflicts. I had it generate a new report that I'll paste below. I placed two mods in the ModScript folder without a .lua script file hoping it would combine them, instead, as you know, it decompiled them. Which is no problem, I backed up the mods.
      Yes I am on Steam and I believe I'm using the normal public version and yes, everything is updated as current as possible. At the end of the report it says some conflicts can be resolved by combining the mods & that's what I was hoping I could do to fix the conflicts. Thanks again for your interest and any help, if possible.

    Hi, I am having trouble figuring out exactly how to combine conflicting mods with this. I'm not familiar with scripting. I ran a few .lua files for 3 of my mods and it combined them into one, but the rest of my mods dont have .lua files. It told me I have around 140 mod conflicts! I only have around 30 mods in the folder, most are from an overhaul consisting of multiple .pak files.

    Is there a way to have AMUMMS go through each conflict so I can specify which mod to favor to create a single large mod? Or would I have to create a script to fix each of the 140 conflicts for individual mods? Is AMUMMS even the right tool for the job? I've read the 'Creating a Patch for existing MOD PAKs.txt' file but it didn't help me much.

    Any help would be appreciated since it seems most of my mods arent working as intended. Please forgive my cluelessness here. Thank you.

    I want to donate a part of my script that is "Cruise mode" https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/1608 which i believe the cruise mode won''t get updated in future, plus the right to compile and use it personally or use that for learning purpose since the original one that does the same cruising mode, Natural Flight sample (https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/949) got deleted from NexusMods.

    The question is: how i could send the script? Email? If yes to whom? Subject etc...
