About this mod
This mod fixes the problem of having no bases visible when in Icarus Sun (the system that the capital planet, New Lennon, is located in).
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
Through rigorous testing I concluded that:
- The highest I could set the limit and still have bases successfully load with my university's connection is 35 (I tried 40 and it did not load them).
- To re-download the cache of downloadable bases, you have to leave the system, save and quit in another system, and then travel to New Lennon directly via Station Terminus.
- Any bases you have in the system count towards the downloadable base limit.
- The number of players present in the system at the time of downloading the base cache probably (80% sure it does) counts towards the downloadable base limit.
- BEACONS DEFINITELY COUNT TOWARDS THE DOWNLOADABLE BASE LIMIT, REMOVE ALL BEACONS YOU HAVE PLACED IN [HUB10-6A] ICARUS SUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INSTALLATION AND SETUP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Browse to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS
- Delete/remove the DISABLEMODS.TXT file.
- Create a folder named MODS.
- Unzip the .zip file and move the .pak file labeled Max35 into the MODS folder.
- If done correctly a warning should appear on startup, press any button to continue past the warning.
- If the bases load when you use Max35, replace Max35 with Max40 and see if the bases load when using that file, they probably won't, but it's worth a shot. If they don't load when using Max40 then switch back to Max35.
- If the bases do not load when using the Max35 file, replace the Max35 file in the MODS folder with Max30, and try again. Keep going down the list of .pak files until you get to one that successfully loads the bases. If you get to the point where you try Max05 and still no bases are loading, then check your internet connection, because if your internet is that bad then something is seriously wrong with it.
- If for whatever reason you want to uninstall the mod, just delete the .pak you currently have in the MODS folder.
