Hey, still using the mod I see :-D . Sorry for the late update, I lost all my files so I had to redo everything and I have all my frigates on S class already so the motivation was pretty low. Hopefully I did not forget anything. Be sure to let me know if something's not working.
I just started a new playthrough, and haven't reached the part to start farming for frigates, as of yet...but if I come across any bugs, I'll post! Hey no worries, sh!t happens, it's all good! Hehe, and thanks again for the update! Until they make it a vanilla feature to be able to upgrade frigates' classes, like how you can upgrade your own ship's class, then this mod is still essential!

I been playing this game for so long (with so many playthroughs) and I only ever thought they stayed the same class as when you first recruit them---LOL! Wow. Just. Wow. Works, except every frigate I go to hire shows a requirement of 50 fuel / 250 ly. Bit too high for my budget. Am I missing something? Maybe a mod conflict?
Looked into it. Works like that by design. Each frig that is not a support frig costs 50/250ly baseline. After that all other stuff like fuel burn rate and expedition fuel cost reduction gets calculated. So basically: You can keep your fuel cost low by using support ships with fuel reduction traits, but you have to at least pay your 50/250ly per non support frigate.
Not true. I usually look for minimum fuel usage (2 tonnes for support, 8 for the others), but after using this mod (even after uninstalling it) support is now using 42 tonnes, 50 for the others. Not working as intended.
Could you please update this mod for the latest game version? Tried another mod that "copied" and update this one but it crashes my game. i use your other mod which works perfectly so its a shame that this one does not.
Is it be possible to make a version in which ships start with max base stats but are C class? Would be nice to preserve the experience of slowly improving your fleet, but without the pain of having to reload for hours just to make sure they're all minimum fuel consumption. :D
