Just wanna add my voice to those clamoring for an update, I really don't know what Hello Games was thinking with how dense they put the asteroids and from the screenshots it looks like you nailed the vibe I'm looking for. I've just started digging into the modding tools so I will see if I can fix it for myself.
EDIT: FYI the mod can't be updated yet as the tool that is needed to de-compile and re-compile the file that must be edited for this mod to work needs to be updated, I do have it on good authority that the developer of that tool is planning on working on that exact issue next.
EDIT #2: the utility just got updated(waaay faster than I thought it would), I have a working version of the mod, I'll throw a link up to a temp version on GitHub tomorrow, if Jimmy doesn't update in a week or so I'll consider throwing a new mod up on here until he does get around to it.
Did a little poking about, didn't have much luck finding that link or you on GitHub. Any luck? Either way, much appreciate your efforts to update this.
edit: my apologies I found the updated listing for this mod
My video recording software is going to explode if I go too much longer without this wonderful mod! :P Please restore some sensibility to space. We'll all be very thankful! :)
Seems to be the best version of asteroids currently available. The increased distance is a godsend. Can't even try to imagine what hello games is doing with this game.. like.. did they even play their game..
Feedback: Would have loved to see a version with more density. Otherwise I think its great.
Hi ! Since today (for some days before I use teleport), I had the surprise of the return of a swarm of asteroids !! It's a very good mod so can you update it please :)
This is really nice! I could barely stand the "asteroids everywhere" madness of vanilla. I still feel like the rewards might be a bit low, though. Maybe that's just my faulty human perception, though, since I'm spending more time flying between asteroids than before. Did you scale the rewards by change in average density, or by change in average distance?

Thanks.
Hope it's never broken by an update.
