Warning: this mod is still being tested (use with caution on your game save, or create a new one)

Have you ever wondered why you can't start the game from a lush planet or even an exotic planet? Hello Games apparently prevents that to avoid spoiling planet types you only find later on in the game.

However, it gets quite boring if you always spawn on the same repetitive 4 biome types. How about some more variety?

Be aware, this mod is not for new players, as it lacks of certain aspects of exploration.

Features:
  • The ability to start the game on the following planets: Lush, Barren, Dead, Exotic, Mega Exotic, Swamp, Volcanic.

Potential fixes being worked on:
  • Ensuring every starting planet is possible to beat.

How to install the mod?

  • Navigate to your game's directory, then go to '.\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS'.
  • Delete the file 'DISABLEMODS.txt'.
  • Create a MODS folder if you don't have it.
  • Drop the file '___RandomStart.pak' into the MODS folder. That's it

Changed file:
  •  METADATA/SIMULATION/SOLARSYSTEM/BIOMES/BIOMEFILENAMES.MBIN
FAQ:
Q: Will this mod survive after a game update?
A: Possibly no, if a major update changed a file structure, but I will update it once it gets broken.

Q: Why you are making this mod?
A: I made it for biome mod testing, so I can familiarize myself with how biomes work.

Q: Will the TBD feature be a thing in the future.
A: Based on my testing procedure, and I might need your help.

Q: Will there be some conflict problems with other mods like this?
A: Yes it will conflict every existing biome mod out there.

Ps.I may need your help with the potential fix I'm working on.
