      cheers is it possible to change the chance of a battle from 50 to 20 ?

      You can edit the EXML file in the mod. It's a simple text file you can edit with Notepad++

    I think the adrift update broke the mod so, @LilyTepes: I agree with you. PIRATE BATTLES HAVE COOLDOWNS. The mod does NOT REMOVE COOLDOWNS.

      i dont know about cooldown
      didnt experience the pirate freighter battle yet but the mod 100% crashing the game

    OK, I downloaded "MORE Pirate Battles", but it's acting like "ALWAYS Pirate Battles", because I can warp into the system where my home base is, and there's a pirate frigate battle going on.

    There is no "Chance" of a battle, it's 100% every single time.
    I didn't edit anything in the LUA when I compiled it into a PAK file.

    Poor = 0.2--0
    Medium = 0.3--0
    Rich = 0.4--0.1
    Pirate = 0.5--0.2
    Warps = 999999999--5
    Hours = 999999999--3

      That's how the game works, nothing we can do about it:

      Also, by using the "more" lua with the 999999999 values in the file, you will effectively deactivate normal freighter battles, giving you either pirate freighter battles or none at all after a warp. That effect is only intended for the "always" version.

      So there's really no difference between the MORE and ALWAYS version of the mod then
      Because the section with the odds set to 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% really doesn't change anything, vs the ALWAYS mod where the odds are all set to 100%

      Because I'm getting 100% no matter what
      This means that 20% of pirate systems will always have a battle.

      Oh, I see.
      They should reduce the chances, because now HG has made it where you can quickly become a trillionaire really easy with a guaranteed pirate battle whenever entering certain systems then, you get 64 Million each to you beat the freighter.
      It makes it so you have nothing to work for anymore.

      There will be systems that do not spawn a pirate freighter with the "more" version. With the "always" version, every system will spawn a pirate freighter.

      OK, I understand the difference now.
      I just have to remember to TELEPORT to my home base, instead of warping to it. LOL

      this mod work, but you have to own any freighter previusly

    So it sseems like the only freighters that I come across with this mod are the same basic capital ships, with no variations. Any idea why this might be?

      Pirate dreadnoughts do not have variations.
