About this mod
Out with the basic resources, in with the actual goodies!

This mod changes the passive loot generated by different frigate types to items better suited for mid- and late gameplay.
By the time player has invested time and units into acquiring and upgrading their frigate fleet to a reasonable level, the loot generated by those frigates in vanilla game (Magnetized Ferrite, Condensed Carbon, units) has very little value. I decided to swap those resources with more valuable items, to make visiting frigates between missions actually worthwhile.
Based on the max score of 50 in dedicated stat for given frigate type:
- industrial frigates will generate up to 10 pieces of Salvaged Data
- trading frigates will generate up to 20 pieces of Tainted Metal
- support frigates will generate up to 5 Warp Cells
To keep things balanced, the time for generating single instance of loot has been increased to 10 minutes (default was 30 seconds).
In addition, the messages displayed in starship communicator have been altered to describe the new loot, which is now highlighted with some colors. The dialogue button "Collect Cargo" has also been renamed into "Collect Items".

Installation
Installation with ZIP archive (manual / mod manager)
Download the provided ZIP archive and extract its contents into game's mods directory: GAMEDATA\MODS
(if the MODS folder doesn't exist, create it yourself)
After extracting check that the GAMEDATA\MODS directory contains the dedicated folder for this mod (FF_ModName_ModVersion), not just individual files / folders (ex. TEXTURES, MODELS, METADATA, etc.).
If you experience problems with installing mods, please refer to the NMS Modding After 5.50 article by Gumsk.
Known issues
Collecting the first instance of loot from a given frigate after installing the mod can reward players hundreds of new items. This effect is not intended, so players are kindly asked to dismiss those items. Pretty please.
