This mod is compatible with game version Worlds Part II 5.51 as of 1st February 2025

This mod has been updated to utilise the game's native mod support framework. All you need to do is place the mod folder in:- …\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\*

(and not in:- …\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS\* as before)

This mod will not be updated for when further Expeditions release as these are generally minor updates don't change anything fundamental about how the game behaves.
This mod changes the DefaultGeneration.StarGenerationThreshold value in GCGALAXYGLOBALS.MBIN

This mod fixes the broken and outdated Double Stars mod made by CodenameAwesome, with credit.
This mod fully removes the star generation cap set by the developers at Hello Games. (Default: 0.68, now: 0.0)
This mod will densely populate existing clusters of star systems with far more star systems to visit.
This mod will populate once previously empty regions of space with additional star systems to visit.

Phantom star systems are defined as star systems that do not normally appear on the Galactic Map, and are not accessible via normal means.
Regulated space is defined as star systems that are accessible to all platforms, that which Hello Games has control over, and are willing to provide technical support for.

There is no distinguishing "phantom" systems from systems that normally appear while in the Galactic Map. You will probably notice that "hey, that neighbouring star system wasn't there before!"

While the mod is active:-
  • It should be safe for you to build bases on planets that exist in these "phantom" systems, and return to them via teleporters afterwards.

While in a "phantom" system:-
  • If you save your game at any given location while within one of these systems, and later decide to remove the mod, you will still continue to exist within the given system, and your in-game position will be retained.
  • If you save your game at any given location while within one of these systems, and later decide to remove the mod, you will still be able to leave the given system via normal means and return to "regulated" space.

While the mod is NOT active:-
  • You can not hyperdrive warp to "phantom" systems, not unless you have a fixed point to teleport/return to, such as a previously visited "phantom" system listed as an entry in the teleport destinations menu, or have a base established on a planet within a "phantom" system.

For other players to be able to visit one of these systems, they need to either:-
  • Have the mod installed
  • Join your session while you are already within one
