(btw I do know that I saw an example of a Vy'keen with the bio-mech textures that you posted -just a sidenote that when I said flight suit textures I meant that FOR the hypothetical "new race" that could be made if you're up to it. I would personally be honored to work with you on fleshing out their background and I'd even be willing to create an entire language and help you structure the way their culture/backgrounds kind of ebbs into the player's experience as they slowly discover more and more (possibly becoming terrified) and I'd also be willing to help create a story/new "quests" to discover maybe a "homeworld" or network of homeworlds that could slowly but surely and inevitably (in terms of scope we would never see this even if we DIDN'T fight) infect the rest of the Universe/Multiverse unless the player does something about it after installing the mod and discovering their planets/learning their language and meeting/fighting enough of them and either convince them (the most realistic probability as any civilization that would evolve to this point has probably left what WE consider to be morals far, far behind for something maybe more logical to THEIR current position) -to let life flourish instead of devouring/incorporating everything into their "collective-conscious", or utterly destroy them by destroying something insanely essential to their survival, (power system, consciousness network?, propogation/means of "infection" etc. some ideas to name a few) yet, Alas, this if speaking frustratingly far ahead of what's currently been accomplished in terms of magnitude (unless you have some other mods underway?) so PLEASE stay in touch as any/all writing/dialogue (or modding itself) I'd be willing to submit will be FAR more superior and less cluttered and chaotic as my two comments have been. lol

Sorry that I missed your reply for so long! Thanks for the kind words, and glad to chat with another enthusiast of H.R. Giger. Awesome ideas! Wish my modding skills were up for that task... Sounds exactly like the background story I had going on with my Spore empire, the Caphalosapiens. Of course being able to physically modify the creatures you came across made that "role-play" a delight on that universe.
I'll try and find time to continue with the bio-mechanization quest... I have my eyes on the sentinels, and the Atlas. The suits... As replacers, that hold new race idea is above my skillset, is on hold... since texturing something like that "blind" without actual exported models to paint over, is a trial-and-error tedious-and-never-perfect deal.
Here are some the latest trials on that:

Hans Ruedi Giger WAS/IS an effing GOD unto himself and all the rest of us pitiful mortals. Fantastic job so far, please continue your work on incorporating the rest of your vision into the game as clearly, you have one. Finally, someone with a bit of intellectual "feuer" to mod into this game (not implying that it or any of the mods to it do not deserve vast proportions of artistic appreciation) as this and the Biomechanical Space Anomolies mod are the best TWO ideas that replace original textural values of the game I've seen thus far. PLEASE, I IMPLORE you...continue your work because there ARE others out there that are on the same page -in artistic appreciation of the game and mods such as this (none reaching this level so far in terms of textures/concepts) but also in terms of sentient awareness, which is a requirement of ANYONE who claims to appreciate Giger's work. He is my hero. I highly recommend you watch the documentary titled " Dark Star " as it explores his psyche, outlook on life, personal life, feelings, vision etc. and is literally a piece of art in itself as it honors MUCH of his work. So unfortunate that he was so ahead of his time -and eerily correct in his interpretation of life itself, as it seems undoubtedly certain that the merging of living flesh with machine is inevitable at least socially speaking in the very least and liberal example of foresight. Bravo dude. And just an idea -as I'm sure you love hearing them, you should DEFINITELY consider lacing the whole bio-mechanical aspect of your mods perhaps into flight/suit textures, maybe add an extra race/background into the mix? Possibly insanely hard to do given how hard it is to locate a single file in the madness that is NMS's repository. Nonetheless, I am impressed. Hat's off.

Soo cool, can you make it where its not all of them , like make it a chance to see this certain biomechanical infestation, also can you make a mod where the sentanils are biomechanicle that would bee soo coool <3 , great work tho

The sentinels, sounds like a good idea to bio-mechanize...
To add a chance of biomechanical or not, I can't... Would love to! The more variation, the better. I think we would all be making that instead of HD replacers. But this was just changing one texture already called and present for another different, bigger one.

    Excellent! Needs more blood though.

Funny, since I spent half the night unsuccessfully trying to make a "red-blood" Mod, so they might go hand in hand, after all - . -
I don't think I have seen blood in any of the man's paintings... though.

True, but several of the adventure logs reference blood and bone and flesh.

      Bone and flesh achieved, then.
