This mod brings a bit of love and attention to the various Space Station entities within the game. Normal Space Stations should be unaffected since the Omega update. Pirate Stations and Abandoned Stations both get an affectionate overhaul from the obvious texture changes to some QOL tweaks also.

NOTE: Not sure how long this mod will be valid since there are new space station types coming at some point. Given the newest info we have I imagine this mod would require a major rework when the new stations are released, unless HG keep the old ones around. Enjoy it while it lasts :)

I also need to update the images to reflect the changes in Outlaw and Abandoned Stations


The idea behind this is to introduce a small but noticeable level of consistency across space stations as there seems to be too much of a disconnect between them.

The primary tweaks are as follows:

  • All Docking Pads Light Trim Colour Tweaks
  • All Docking Pads Light Trim are Animated
  • All Docking Pads Raise/Lower Animations
  • Floor Tiles are a little Dirtier (less reflective)
  • Docking Pad Spot Lights Colour Adjustment
  • Docking Pad Spot Lights Positions Adjusted
  • Space Station LOD adjustments (shop areas).

Note: Modifies Station LOD for both LEFTSECTIONTRIGGER / RIGHTSECTIONTRIGGER entities. This allows for visibly active shops from either side of the gantry area and greatly reduces the asset pop-in when approaching different shops. This is not a total LOD solution as you will still see a couple of assets continue to load when approaching a shop. Other mod authors have already addressed this more fully. This is good enough!

Installing No Man's Sky Mods (Steam).

Default Steam installation location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS

Custom Steam installation location:
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS

1. Browse to the "No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS" folder.
2. Delete, or better yet, rename the DISABLEMODS.TXT file. (__DISABLEMODS.TXT).
3. Ensure there is a folder named MODS (Uppercase!) within the PCBANKS folder. If not create it!
4. Place the <modname>.pak file(s) into the MODS folder (no subfolders!).
5. Start the game and wait for the loading screen to disappear.

If done correctly the game will display a MOD Warning Page: Click to continue.
You should now be presented with your save games list to choose from to start playing.
