Does not work. Only messes up the icon's graphics. Hoping for a quick fix!

how do I remove this mod from RayRods mod ?? Im playing only with Rayrods mod, I tried adding a few more but nothing worked,,,so solo Rayrods it is,,,, but
is so annoying he adds many small mods like this and not making them optional

Well, choosing to use Rayrod mod means you will get a lot of changes in game... as far as I remind, Ray made separated folders for a lot of optionnal mods but maybe not this one. I can't say for sure...
Maybe download this file and search in rayrods mod folder if you find the same pak file name.

Is it possible to remove the marker from the in-game world, but keep it on the HUD? Or does this mod just work by replacing the texture with a blank image?

      It removes the icon.
We need to find the code calling the texture to do what you would like but I havn't found it yet

Ah, I figured. Thankyou for looking though.

EDIT: At least the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) time still shows up if you're looking in the right direction.

Yes, but pointing directly at the ship becomes harder and harder with the distance.
BTW, I might be able to remove the ETA too in a not so distant future if you want

Exactly my point - more of a challenge.

Thankyou, but no. I'd like to keep the ETA personally.

¡The mod is perfect! I enjoy 100% more the game, without the Ship marker. ¿Can you make the same change (quit the icon), with the Base marker? Like a new feature for this mod, or in a new mod. Thanks.

I wish there was an ingame toggle for this.
On hostile planets this mod could get you killed really fast.
But, on calm, safe planets this would be nice to have...
    A toggle possible?

I did tried it when I created the "use the binoculars" mod, then I thought it would be too hardcore, even though you got the recall, tagging a building nearby, landing on the top of a hill, or using the time indication to reach it (which still appears) and going in circles (more a spiral in fact). I like the idea, it feels more like "if you were lost on a planet", kinda like "Saint-Exupéry / Le Petit Prince" experience ;o)

Yep, I had the idea for quite some time but I also thought : "this is too hardcore. How many times I looked for my ship, tried to get back to it in my best guessed direction before I checked the top "compass" to see I was running the opposite direction."

By the way I tried it yesterday and it felt very great.
My first reflex was to park my ship near a remarkable building instead of my usual "anywhere" like I was doing before this mod. So this assured me some kind of visual spot to go back to my ship later.
And as soon as I went roaming a bit, I kept some triangulation spots around me to be sure I could go back to my ship later.
This leads to taking more care to my ship than before and immerges myself a lot more into the explorer I am ingame.
I would rather say it's more like "Le petit poucet" (aka Tom Thumb) where at each step further away from your ship, you need to take some mental pictures / coordinates / landmark.
All in all, even if I fail to remind the path to my ship, all I loose is just a bit of time as a ship beacon will do the job, just as when I was roaming too far away from my ship and didn't want to get back to it for 10+ minutes at feet.

So everything's alright. A better immersion, less markers, more enjoyment when roaming, another reason to use a ship beacon and on my side, I doubt I will ever remove this mod from my game now on.
