There is a mod called "More Upgradeable Slots" thats allows multi tools to go to 48 slots, maybe look into that and see how it works? Im using it and it works fine for multi tools but it doesnt work for freighters for some reason. Im also using a mod called "Mega Stacks & All Suit Tech Slots" which increases the stack size to 1 million and 48 slots for all exosuit slots and disables the tech overload for mods.
Because these all conflict with each other i was hoping someone could make a all in one mod that does all this stuff.
This already allows multitools to be upgraded to 48 slots regardless of class. The 24 limitation is that they can only start with 24 slots. Mega Stacks is outdated, there are similar stack size increasing mods that have Lua files. With the Lua files here, in the download for More Upgradeable Slots, and whatever other mods that conflict you choose, you can run them through AMUMSS (also here on Nexus) to get a combined pak
I tried the main mod and found i can no longer scrap ships and even am not able to sell them with this mod active
I also noticed when i was adding slots with the found increase thingies that when i was upgrading the tech it stopped at 25 and when i tried to add cargo slots it stopped at 25 as well.
So i can not sell nor change anything anymore, worse is when i disabled the mod the whole save went berserk Lots of things ended up being messed up and ofcourse loads of stuff lost which took hours to collect Only option what worked was delete the save and start new
Sounds like you got caught by an incompatibility between 3.99 and 3.99.1. I'm sorry that happened to you. Removing the save is always an option, unfortunately I was slow to get this update out as I have recently RMA'd my video card and just got it back
Weird...I just found a crashed ship for the first time after installing this mod...and most of the slots are damaged, is this intentional? If so, best to scrap all ships, though I would assume the damaged slots will knock down the scrap price to minimal value. Will test this for myself LOL.
Edit: Ok, so I verified that the 70 Mill extremely damaged ship only nets less than 20M in trade. I don't suspect repairing 70-75 of 96 slots is worth it in both time and gathering the required materials.
Thank you for the response, yeah I found that mod, and tried it out, it helps.
Side question, is there a way to increase the max slots without them being automatically unlocked? Would it be as simple as say, reducing the MinExtraTech? Reason I ask is, I like the idea of the Craftable Modules mod, as the initial ship prices stay relatively normal.
Heya, have now tested reducing the min stats, however, now the ships look to be default slot wise. I reduced all ships to minimums of 15 slots with the LUA files, but they appear all random in game. Did I miss something, or do the LUA's need updating as well?
Also, yes I ran the Lua's through PSarc, and renamed the pak file...in case you were going to ask lol.
I don't know about that guy, but I'm just using Ships48. (I actually rather enjoyed fixing up damaged ships as a 'project' and making good money off of it.)
I tested with just the bShips48 mod installed and it worked just fine (I'm looking at a 48 slot class C Explorer right now). One other thing comes to mind: did you maybe forget to delete DISABLEMODS.TXT after the update? Steam and GOG both automatically reinstall that file each update.
I moved from the individual mods to the BInventory one (Why are multi-tools half the size of the others, anyway? Save editing lets you edit them to full size.) and everything appears to be working in that mod file, at least.
Trying to go to 48 slots on the multitools in the mod results in crashes and freezes :( Smarter people than I have looked at it and have come to the same conclusion.
If you're going to make scripts that increase the inventory slots of things, might I make a request? I'd like to see a script to bump the size of Base Building Storages bumped up to 48. The game accepts it just fine if you do it by hand in the save editor, but writing a script to do it automatically once per save would be a nice quality of life.
With this Mod in, It makes my game lock up on start up on some of my saves, And Yes it's this one doing it i'v tested it like 8 times. just to let you know.

I followed the steps under the "How to use" section on the main page, so I don't know what I missed.
