    This mod is working good as of Desolation 2.6.1.1. I'm still using that other special 2x faster version (not posted currently) you made for me as well! Fabulous! That version really is the fastest of all the flight mods I've ever tested. Congrats!!

    Ok I'm gonna try this and report back, but can I fly backwards with this at warp speed too? Hahahaha!

      Ok I tested it. It does not fly backwards on the planet but does in space! It is also very fast. This is excellent and was really needed. Awesome work, thank you! I would say, if possible, it needs the pulse engine speed boosted at least 2X and maybe even up to 4X. A few versions maybe? Also if at all possible, could you make a version where it does fly backwards on planet and in space at a decent speed? That would be supreme! I know it will rubberband. This is awesome for the Squid ships...like when they used to be able to take off backwards...miss that and makes for great parting shots! ENDORSED!

      OK after testing here are my thoughts

      1) First and foremost, thank you again!

      2) It's fast...almost too fast, but the reverse speed is perfect. The pullbacks in reverse are amazing. I wanted this for video capture!

      3) Maybe I did not explain correctly but when I said 2x or 4x. I really meant the Pulse Engine...the drive you use to travel between planets. It's an amazing flying speed and turbo boost for normal flying but flight between planets is vanilla speed so it's a bit of a mismatch and it's slow.

      4) It hovers perfectly at any angle!

      5) This mod lets you rubberband exceptionally well. Exotic Squid owners would be proud. You can now take off in reverse like never before! Not even the original game feature that is now gone was this good. This is also great for combat if you have the skill to control it properly.

      So I would say the perfect combination for me would be the forward speed of your first version combined with the reverse speed of the second version (Is that even possible or must forward and reverse speeds match?) and at least a 4X Pulse Engine speed for travel between planets. Most ship mods that increase flying speed usually offer 2X, 4x, 8x...I even had tried 16x once...too fast haha...bouncing into planets and moons, or getting trapped in freighter frames! It took maybe three or 4 seconds at most to get between any two planets. It was faster than light speed that's for sure.

      Really some nice work you did there...so much fun to try out the extreme ends of performance! Even my graphics card was choking trying to process 4K on highest settings at these rendering speeds...eh new cards coming this year...I'll build a new rig just for this one mod hahaha!

      This version test was just amazing...grinning ear to ear! The transitions are totally controllable with this combination. I had my flight control settings set for the last ship mod I was using berfore this one so next test I will fiddle with the game settings to see if I can get a little more manueverability in the full speed hard turns. I'm guessing by feel you left the handling vanilla.

      The pulse speed is perfect, as I said previously, I find anything more than 4X puts you at risk for freighter lock-in or bouncing into moon surfaces. I also noticed the braking on planet entry is near absent (not sure if you can fix that one but not a problem for me, I'm an excellent pilot) so you have to really pay attention on arrival which comes quick.

      I'd venture to say any other player with great flying skills that can get the best out of this mod will not only smile like they won a juicy bet, but so will anyone else that happens to be spectating! The fastest and best handling ship I have in my fleet is the Police Sentinel. I will be testing that as well with this mod and reporting back. I'm expecting a new level of phenomenal.

      Update:

      After testing all ships the Sentinal police ship handles like a dream but then it always did and not sure why. It's a particular ship type that really doesn't exist in the game for purchase except by mod so could have that handling baked in. It turns out for all the other ships they fly a little truck like when it comes to manuevering at the highest velocities. It probably could use a little work to make the turns faster but as it sits it's quite good. Much love!
