About this mod
Lightweight, performance-friendly reshade that dramatically Improves visuals and atmosphere by boosting contrast, countering the yellow-white veneer that the game naturally has, and more.

The presets I've included are quite similar to each other. I recommend using Inkveil I as your default. Inkveil II, 'Autumn,' has slightly stronger reds. Inkveil III, 'Winter,' tones down reds and oranges and lends a somewhat paler blue tint to the game. Inkveil IV, 'Spring,' dampens yellowish greens and pulls them a bit closer to aquamarine--it's best for those areas that are oversaturated with an obnoxious green light.
Each of these four presets boosts contrast quite a bit, which can make terrain difficult to see clearly in some areas. To gain visibility while keeping the reshade's appearance overall, simply open the reshade interface, and disable either HDR or Levels or both. Those two shaders boost contrast, but disabling them won't change the color balance much (in the case of HDR) or at all (in the case of Levels).
Installation:
1. Download ReShade from here. I'm on an older version, 5.4.2, so try that out if the latest version doesn't work. Repository can be found here.
2. Run the ReShade setup. Select Nioh 2's exe file, which you can find in your Steam directory (...\steamapps\common\Nioh2). Choose Direct3D 10/11/12 from the API options that ReShade's installer presents.
3. Next, you'll be asked which effect packages you want to install. Keep Standard and SweetFX, which should be selected by default. For my presets to work, you also need to select the qUINT package and the Legacy effects package.
4. Download the .ini files from this mod's files tab. These are my presets. Drag them into the "Nioh2" folder that contains the game's .exe.
5. Run the game. Along the top edge of your screen, you should see a banner with a ReShade prompt. Pressing the 'Home' key should open ReShade's interface in-game. You can skip the tutorial if you wish. You should be able to select the active preset using the arrow buttons along the top of the interface. You'll also see tabs for configuring other settings, including which key will disable ReShade effects in-game.
Notes:
When modifying a preset, you might run into an error message from ReShade that tells you it's unable to save your preset. You can usually make that message disappear by switching to another preset and switching back. I've been able to save my edits to presets even when that message appears.
