Jem Byrne deserves great recognition for the creative reimagining of so many legendary brands. Each brand in NIGHT-RUNNERS is tastefully recreated with a fictional version that stays true to the original in a way that allows the player to feel immersed in a nostalgic world close to our own. My mod is aimed at bringing the player even further into that immersion.
As of now, this mod replaces a majority of the fictional brands created by Jem with their real-life counterparts. This mod is built to work with the latest version of NIGHT-RUNNERS available to the public outside of Patreon. Any additional brands that may exist within content available to Patreon users before they are available to the public will not be seen in this version or updates until Jem decides that content should be released. Furthermore, it is recommended you do not attempt to install this mod on any version of NIGHT-RUNNERS not mentioned at the top of the ReadMe. Any attempts to do so are done at the user’s own risk.
Of the brands you will see changed, a few instances of Jem’s branding have been left alone as a show of respect and appreciation. The AEM sticker relabeled as JEM has been left as is. Similarly, the KEY!S RACING steering wheels are also left with Jem’s own branding, though the horn button has been replaced with the KEY!S RACING button to blend the immersion with Jem’s creativity.
There are still instances where you will continue to see fictional brands. Most notably are the cars in game, which are all left as is for the present time, as well as the text that accompanies different parts when you are scrolling through the options. To fully mod those different aspects requires access to files that I have either not yet identified or don’t have the tools to mod properly.
Some of the logos, especially those on some wheels, are difficult to see unless you are in Photo Mode. The nostalgic graphics make it much more difficult to fully see the smaller details that some of the authentic brands present. There may be a few instances of brands that have not yet been changed or areas where a fictional brand still appears, but similar to NIGHT-RUNNERS itself, this is a work in progress.
