This remedies the patchiness and tears on 2B's dress and A2's clothing.

RESTORED MASK MAPS
This is a texture mod that aims to preserve and restore the velvet effect of 2B's dress and A2's clothing.
I have carefully tweaked this texture map (called Mask Map 2 in Blender) for it to work by using Photoshop.

This 'patchiness' isn't really obvious when playing NieR: Automata on high-end systems. You can still see it though when you zoom in really close to their clothing.
I play NieR Automata on a laptop, and all my graphics settings are set to the lowest, including the resolution. I set it to fullscreen too, and this stretches everything.
Because of that, this 'tears' on 2B's skirt and A2's cloth becomes really obvious, increasing in size, that just doesn't look good at all.
While this patchiness can get fixed by a custom Mask Map 1 (the pink/blue coloured one), the effect it creates makes their clothing look flat and matte.
If you're like me who plays NieR Automata on a low end computer, while wanting the characters to look nicer, then this is the mod for you.

No other textures are being injected in the making of the screenshots.
You only need the Special K / FAR plug-in to use this mod.
