About this mod

Have you seen that fancy Kimono that A2 gets as an ''exclusive'' for the Switch port of the game?
Well, no longer exclusive.

Inspired by A2's new nifty Kimono in the unexpected(and mostly not really asked for) port of NieR:Automata to Nintendo Switch. Well, like with the P series androids I have done in the past, I have something done for it as well. If there is popular demand for her mask, I can make one as well. Just vote which accessory it should replace(I doubt you would want Emil's Head for example).

Be warned:
-This mod requires the NieR:Automata DLC installed. The Destroyer Outfit works as normal.
To install, first extract the downloaded ZIP.
Drag-and-drop the /data/ folder into your NieR:Automata installation directory (where the .exe is located).
Merge with existing directories.
If for some reason you do not have the DLC, this mod works just fine. Simply rename the files from pl010d  to pl0100.
Not much of a hassle to get it going than a simple cut and paste.

To uninstall, (which is as easy) navigate to /NieRAutomata/data/pl/.
Delete pl010d.dat & pl010d.dtt.

Some Notes
(Please read them first before download and/or posting. This FAQ has been compiled of questions I have received over the years modding NieR:A.)

Does this mod require FAR?

No. You can use it to inject textures to my model if you really want to.

Why two versions for the hair? Isn't the hair dynamic?
Due to a bug with the DLC version of A2's model during Blender import, it
is not possible to have the dynamic hair size(short or long). So I have
made two versions of the mod depending on the hairstyle you want. If
there is a fix for it for the Blender Tools, I will merge them.

How do I fix my game not loading with a white error message box?!
Get the File Size Limit Patch from here, on Nexus.

But why did you do it? X is already doing and I like it better!
As the title says, why not? I do not think there is a limitation in modding. What we like is subjective and what I offer is what I think is good to share with the Community! If you like it and use it, then makes me happy. :D

Why the sleeve does not have physics?
Atm NieR:A modding does not allow for custom bone(armature), animation and fully custom made motions support.
I am aware there is a potential port of the sleeve physics from Switch by others but what I have seen, is not perfect or complete. I am also working/experimenting myself to replicate them since I operate on my own version of the tools.
There is also of course the possibility Square Enix graces us with the DLC brought to PC as well(along with a bug fixing patch hopefully).
So, depending on the circumstances and provided time, I will accordingly update or retire this mod(in the case of SE listening to their fans-which I hope, as a loyal customer).
But on the flipside, I have the textures improved to contain more details compared to the original.

Does this mod support XXXX model mod?
It should unless the other mod also replaces
pl010d files or edits A2's textures(unless FAR, then whatever it replaces).

Will you do 2B and 9S' Kimono too?
Most likely not. Regular followers of my mods may know that I mostly prefer to work on A2. If anything happens however, I will update.
EDIT: 2B's is here.

Will you make A2E and/or Kaine A2 versions?
I am planning to actually. But since my time is limited, I am not sure when and if will be done.

Can I edit your mod or use it in mine or make an addon for it?
Only with my explicit permission
.
Don't be shy and send me a polite PM or comment! :3

What should I do if I encounter issues that need to be fixed?
Post or contact me directly here but I may not reply immediately. This does not mean I do not read what you guys post. ;)
Please be mindful, feedback that is rude or is already answered here in the notes will be ignored. NieR:Automata modding is rather hard and limited and thus takes a lot of time and effort. Kindly respect that.
