INTRO
Actually this is a very old mod, that I created years ago (but the files vanished with my previous web-hosting that expired, because I didn't have money to extend the hosting service. LOL!). But since many of my friends (from real-life, patreon members, youtube subcribers) keep asking for this again, then I decided to re-upload to nexusmods. Also, I've porting it from very old Reshade framework to newer Reshade framework (4.7.x) with some improvement.

What is this?
A simple Reshade custom shaders pack for NieR Automata
This shading makes NieR Automata extremely brighter but with better color, shading, details and lighting effects.
And as its name, the installation process and adjust the settings are so simple.

Tweak as you like it! Press END keyboard to show up UI and start to adjust it to match your liking, example cases:
- You may need to slide-down "Light Intensity" value (to - 35 or lower)  if images in your screen (e.g TN/VA panel screens) too bright.
- if you feel the scene too sharp (e.g for user with 4K or 8K screen), then slide-down "Sharpness" value from 0.300 (default) to 0.00
- The colors may too strong for your taste or your Monitor color profile, then you may slide-down "Color Saturation" value from 0.300 (default) to lower value to get more neutral color that you can accept it ;) ..... mean-while a friend of mine prefer to increase it slightly from 0.300 to 0.400! =))

NOTE
- - It's based on Reshade 4.7.x  framework, BUT may not work properly with the other version of Reshade or other standard shaders.
Therefore, Please CLEAN-UP  your previous all Reshade files and configuration (if you already installed it) from your NieR Automata folder.
DO NOT mixed up with the other Reshade files!  Just extract these files into your game folder, DO NOT run Reshade installer.
-- After applied this mod, don't forget to re-calibrate your screen brightness from game settings. Increase the brightness bar until you can see the icon in the right side, but make sure the box on the right side still pure black (my brightness is 2 bar only).
-- Don't forget to disable Anti-aliasing from game settings. This is a mandatory!

How to install:
- Clean-up your previous all Reshade files and configuration (if you already installed it) from NieR Automata folder before install this mod
- Extract these files (just extract it, do not run Reshade installer)  into where your game executable (NieRAutomata.exe) resides. (e.g C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NieR Automata\ )
- Run the game!
- Go to game settings and set "Anti-Aliasing" = OFF to get game Depth-Buffer (Depth Buffer in Nier disappears when you enable Anti-Aliasing (MSAA))

- Don't worry, I've included custom FXAA shader (zFXAA) to substitute game's anti-aliasing ;)

- Re-calibrate "Screen Brightness" with this rule: left box is still pure black; and right box with Icon is visible (mine is only 2 bar)

Command Keys:
- INSERT : Toggle Effects ON/OFF (default: ON)
- END : to Show up Reshade UI, so you can adjust Color Saturation, Light Intensity, and Dark Level to fit your monitor/your liking.
- PgUp (Page-UP) : Toggle custom FXAA (zFXAA) ON/OFF (default: ON) ~ new in version 1.1
- PgDn (Page-DOWN) : Toggle xMXAO ON/OFF (default : ON) ~ only available in Extreme Edition.
- F11 : Toggle 3D Stereoscopic mode***  ON/OFF (Default is in Top-Bottom format, your may change it later to SBS format via UI).

*** 3D Stereoscopic shader is optimized for LG Cinema 3D Screen, based on BlueSkyDefender's Depth3D shader (https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D). If you are using non-native 3D screen with VR (e.g Virtual Desktop with Oculus Quest/Quest 2 ) please change the 3D format from Top-Bottom to
Side-by-Side (SBS) format for better 3D depth perception.

I hope you like it! :)
