House of Horrors can really just be summed as "Devilswish Flexing: The Mod."
Jokes aside, the bits of actual gameplay and general atmosphere of House of Horrors is pretty great.

The mod ends, as the description will tell you, very abruptly, due to being unfinished.
But honestly, if it had just ended before that final swimming section, that honestly only served to highlight the unfinished aspect of the mod, it would have been perfect. It would have thrown the player out at the perfect time to fully sell the mods horrifying premise and leave a lasting impression. Was any of that real? Did the delusion ever end? When did it begin? What does "real" even mean at this point?
(It still kind of works, but it fizzles a bit because of the ending.)

I don't want to get all "What if muh blu is not ur blu?" so I'll end the tangent there, but Devilswish gets you thinking about a very disturbing and very real kind of horror that manages to shine through the usual blood and gore.
