The trailer shows off the snowy world of Flagstaff, AZ for the first time! I'm also proud to say that Flagstaff is not the only world you'll be able to visit. You have the aesthetic of Flagstaff in mind, but the main point is that the textures are just not good on some of the terrain and buildings. I know this must be some sort of alpha of the mod, but a trailer captures the aesthetic or gameplay quality of what you're producing. The bricks don't look like bricks, they kind of look like something out of a portable phone game, or Super Mario 64. Same with the roads, they need a little work from the same looping texture forever.
Another thing is that the environments don't look finished, yet again, this is probably an alpha build, but the surrounding environments between the buildings just seem off-putting. There's really no clutter around the scene, making it bland to only focus on one thing in the camera. Even a car, fallen tree, or some rubble would have been nice.
I don't want to be seen as hateful in any way, I'm just trying to show pointers from a view of an ant in the colony, so that these things can improve in the final product. I know you guys have worked on this for a while, and your intentions are good, but I'm just looking on ways *everyone* can enjoy this. Other than that, the final conclusions is that environments and textures can be fixed, but need to come with more oomph to it, at least something pleasing to look at.
