Well, you're a cheeky little blighter aren't you? Perhaps you should read the Nexus T&C's. It cannot be uploaded to the Nexus. It's against the rules. If the Nexus change those rules someday then sure.

    How pretentious
Coming from Fallout 4 because I just miss the many strengths of New Vegas storytelling, but I see the community is no less cult-like about the game than it was when I left it years ago. I mean, what a backwards way to offer up a texture mod. Give me a break.
    Funny video though!

The way you obtain these is absurd, just add a payment option so you are not in their stupid community trying hard enough and still not get it... (just saying)

No thats a lie. There is no payment or donation in the site to download mods.

@VVAREZ I would rather pay for the mod than need to be apart of their little community and need to wait until I get a status within that community to be able to get access to a mod, that's simply ridiculous for a MOD.

It uses assets from fallout 4 which is not allowed on nexus. So no, he cant just "upload it here for ease of use"

I would rather just pay for the mod at this point rather than interacting with people in a community I don't care to be apart of just to gain access to 1 mod that could have been free on Nexus. I'm sorry but that's absurd. I don't mean to be rude by saying this, but it is simply unnecessary to do this when the author knows very well that a lot of people would love to have access to this mod.

    Why, just why.
    As simple as that.
Why you need to be part of the community to just download and use a mod? i just dont get it, what am i missing?
Why there is a need to make the mod private?

I found this mod in another place, and it's bugged. Texture on wild ghouls clothes turns to brick, rock, whatever else but not the fabric.

Yeah, if you didn't get it from the official source i.e. the GUNetwork, it'll not be the genuine article.

Keeping a mod/mod pack like this behind a retarded community wall, that is entirely reliant on your "status" in said community, is being nothing more than a giant a**hole.  For real, I just want to play and enjoy a modded New Vegas.  I don't want to bother interacting with people and a community to do that.  I'm not playing New Vegas for social interaction, I'm playing to enjoy a damn Singleplayer experience.

It's disgusting how the only way these people seem able to keep their community alive is by forcing people into it.  As much as I would very much want Upgrades from the Commonwealth, I'm not going to take part in such BS.

nicanor00 wrote: @DeadlyRecon don't be like that man, the modders took the time to piece this all together and be playable to new vegas. The assets isn't theirs, but the effort to bring it to NV is. So whatever they do to it, is for them to decide. Besides, they've placed a high wall on their mods to prevent people commenting in this sort of way. They're preventing people like you from getting it, sorry to say. That sh*tty attitude belongs on the sea, matey.......and theres a lot of plunderin to be done in the briny deep. So instead of whining here, be sociable to that community or go yo ho ho-ing in the big ol blue. Just saying.

    P.S.
To one of the mod authors, Im not supporting yo ho ho-ing in the big briny deep, I'm just saying it exist. Thank you for the mod.

Like you said, nicanor00, it is what it is.
It's a push back of sorts.
A lot of mod authors leave the modding scene due to the impudent, boorish and belligerent attitude of some mod users.
It's not healthy for a community and in the end everyone loses.
It's not my decision or inclination to put things behind a 'wall', but I understand and respect other mod authors that choose to do it.
It aims for a proper cohesive community, separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
People respect the tireless effort of mod authors instead of grabbing whatever they feel entitled to in an almost hit and run fashion.
It's not perfect, I agree. And for some people who don't feel like pretending to be sociable, it's an obstacle. But still, I feel it's a necessary one.
No one is being asked to pay anything monetarily. They're being asked to contribute *themselves*. If that's too much to ask then that's their problem.

True, but lots of people like me respect the work that authors do, but are new to a community and don't even know where to start when it comes to impacting a community of thousands of people enough to get nominated to be able to download a mod. In the end most users just give up and find something else to play. I kinda understand the need for a rep system but at the same time its so discouraging and intimidating to new members
