Requirements:
Fallout 3 + All DLC
New Vegas + All DLC
TTW
+ yupttw.esm (I think yupttw.esm comes bundled with TTW 3.3 anyway? You need that esm. Someone clarify if that's a separate mod)
What is in the mod?
-1163 Total Recipes
-9 Items
-3 Perks
-38 Challenges
-7 world object(s) converted to an outpost workstation
-4 Misc Items converted to single use TOOLS, to temporarily craft.
Recipes from OTHER MODS?
They show up in the 'Unpack-it' Option, where you find recipes to unpack the Miscellaneous Parts Kit.
Details Specifically to the Perks, Challenges:
Scrap-it Caravan (PERK)
Your skill in scrapping and crafting junk in the wasteland is relative to how much you can haul.
With each rank, Carry weight increases +1.
Caravan increases 1 rank every time you complete a scrap-it challenge. So around an additional 28-35lbs carry weight maxed out in TTW Scrap-it V 1.5. So if you complete a kill rank challenge (for example), you'll get a rank in Scrap-it Sharper, and in Caravan. Caravan encompasses all (new in 1.5, previously was limited to itself).
Scrap-it Sharper (PERK)
You gain a flat +1 damage bonus against everything, per rank.
Scrap-it Decisively (PERK)
Gain +1 Dt per rank from completing challenges.
I haven't found out how to replicate detecting a location found, towards a challenge. It seems the vanilla ones are scripted to specific locations. So for now, this helps lock away recipes that are 'unfound', 'Joe's Pistol', weapons or armor that don't have a purpose yet (or I can't link them to something meaningful) lay out there to be collected.
Magazine Reading Challenges (14 types, no ranks, made per magazine book)
Read X _________ Magazines. Contributes towards unlocking recipes.
Unfound Challenge (5 Ranks)
Complete challenges. Contributes towards recipes of items that link to no quest, no true identity than to 'exist'.
Craft Challenge (5 Ranks)
Craft items at a Workbench, Campfire, Reloading Bench, or elsewhere. Contributes towards unlocking recipes.
GRA Challenge (3 Ranks)
Do damage with Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) Weapons. Contributes towards Unlocking GRA Weapons
Kill Challenge (5 Ranks, an extension of Lord Deaths 3, making 8 total dmg increases)
Kill anything. Contributes to unlocking recipes.
Repair Challenge (5 Ranks)
Repair items in your inventory yourself. Contributes towards unlocking recipes.
Mod Challenge (No ranks, install 1 mod on a gun, intended for lvl1 players introduce to system).
At moment, unlocks thy weakest mod in the game. Thats all it does. Like a starter quest.
Technical Details:
Starting out:
Many recipes and options in the Workstation menus start locked, hidden from view. Completing requirements slowly makes things visible. The quickest effective way to unlock anything is through challenges made by Scrap-it, starting with prefix 'Unlock' followed by name. Example is Unlock Craft 1, a challenge from Scrap-it requires crafting x number of items. In the Vanilla Game, you will work tirelessly to craft 1 item. In scrap-it, you'll craft 100s in a matter of minutes. So Craft 1 requires 200... just collect everything in sight. That is the intent. Also... equip a mod to a weapon, .. the easiest challenge. Unlocks modifications in the reloading bench menu.
[Tool] Items: To use, interact with it as though picking it up for inventory. If in inventory, drop the item. Selecting Take puts in inventory, Leave exits the menu, and the middle option(s) consume/use the item. As of v1.65, there is/was Wood Chipper, Bonesaw, Hotplate, and Pressure Cooker. Later updates might include things like Doctors bags, etc. or potential extra functionality to other items. The purpose is to help ensure you can 'be out there longer' before having to turn back to home, to store loot.
Miscellaneous Parts Kit:
They can be unpacked for the most used items for recipes. They are also used in recipes themselves. They are unpacked from outpost workstations using the 'unpack-it' menu option if you complete the Study Survival Challenge, or that option is available free at the main workstations.. (Workbench, Campfire, Reloading Bench).
Food Box (new, in progress):
They can be unpacked for the most used items for cooking recipes. They don't currently do this in v1.6. They just came in. But you can eat them? The purpose will be exactly as Miscellaneous Parts Kit works, and Food Box's recipes will show up in the Unpack-it section.
Notable Supplies:
Gained from scrapping rare junk items, like a guitar, or big spoon. Anything that I found seems rare. Used in recipes for Unique Weapons or Armor.
Weapon Parts:
Gained from scrapping weapons. Used in Weapon Mod Recipes.
Speech SKILL: Helps you unlock recipes
Used as a requirement ranging from 1 to 100 for most magazine crafting recipes. Considering in order to unlock a lot of recipes, you have to complete challenges requiring to read X amount of magazines... Take a guess why speech is needed to craft (write) a magazine, or why we must 'study guns' to craft better guns...
Unarmed SKILL: Helps you craft recipes
Used as a requirement ranging from 1 to 100 for most scrapping and weapon/armor/mod/ammo recipes... This isn't too noticable until you start unlocking a ton of recipes later on, and watching unarmed stay unleveled. J

Feedback / Balancing:
The mod can be balanced in 4-5* ways:
A) *New* Report 'prompt' bug when encounter it. If your prompted with workstation, but no where near one, bug report where you AT, so I locate the CELL
B) Suggest Balance Changes in Comments section
C) Use Famine Mod, adjust settings in it's TXT. What happens if you reduce the loot available to collect?
D) Use Stewies Tweaks to disable SELLING to Vendors (buying from Vendors is okay). Dark Souls secret to economy is disabling selling. The day I did that, I no longer needed an economy mod.
E) Time given for mod to mature

-Resumed work on the mod on 06/04/25. 1190 Recipes so far, in progress.
-Uploaded Addon: 9 Recipes for Another Interior Mod on 06/15/2025
Installation: Enable Esp on a new or current game.
Uninstallation: Disable Esp, Start new Game. Don't continue current game.
Update Regularly: Vortex > Update Scrap-it.
Compatibility Addons or Patches:
Addon means adds recipes to recognize a mod
Patch means changes how code functions to work with a mod
An addon doesn't mean I endorse nor not endorse the mod, nor does it mean the supported mods are compatible with 'each other'. For example, Another Interior Mod and AWOP conflict on some interiors, but I'm playing through with both. Addons are my personal quick fixes made available public. They may or may not cover the entirety of the mod. A percent % will give an idea. A patch is more work, likely if I did a patch, I felt the mod is great or essential, or not my taste, but must have been worthy enough to get one. If you have any of these mods, get the addon or patch, load after the mod and scrap-it. They will allow you to scrap stuff you wouldn't be able to otherwise.
Addons for:
Another Interior Mod - 9 Recipes, 100% Covered.
Incompatibilities:
FUTURE WARNING: Oven Cooking is compatible with v1.65. At some point, it will become obsolete, and incompatible with Scrap-it. Other mods that add functionality to Chemistry labs, or Laboratories, same deal. The Eye of Scrap-it is targeting all potential nestings.. to dump it's recipes into. My first laboratory.. or the chem object at Mitch's house, expect it all to just eventually get touched by Scrap-it, if not expanded.
MAJOR (Breaks the mod): Do not use with another mod that replaces the vanilla Workstation scripts.
MINOR: This mod modifies vanilla recipes, and vanilla items. Another mod replacing or modifying Vanilla Items or Recipes may need a patch to Scrap-it in the future, once I finish this.
MINOR SPECIFIC: For balance reasons, avoid mods that alter Dirty Water, Wood Chipper, Bonesaw, Hotplate, Oven, Sink, Toilet, Workbench, Reloading Bench, OR any other workstation, including Chemistry Labs.. Laboratories., The Pitt's Ammo Press, Madre's Vending Machines... etc.
Reporting bugs, wishes, feedback, Balance is greatly encouraged:

'Capitalize on Menu Categories', highly recommend.
'Disable Selling to Vendors', Optional.
JIP Improved Recipe Menu https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59638
ATTN: Users of JIP Improved Recipe Menu:
Jip in combination with this is awesome. They accelerate each other. So much that, make sure you don't spam the 'A' (craft) button. Craft items no faster than 30 milliseconds, otherwise an uncommon bug can occur due to scripts from JIP or Vanilla or this mod or all 3 being unable to catch up with you. Scrap-it allows JIP users to craft 100-200 different recipes within a minute by spamming A due to the sheer amount of options ... It means SLOW DOWN, its an old game, with old scripting system. You wont crash the game, but youll likely bug out a recipe to attempt to make 49494949949494 amount of it. When you see that, exit the game. Reboot, fixed. Do not spam crafting. It's an old Bethesda game.

KARMA XP https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/89398
Use my fix for KARMA XP:
FIX INCLUDED for mod below (theft xp):
OKAY, This mod is awesome for those of you stuck in HARCCORE land, especially TTW, and having ramped up difficulty, and lowered the crap out of your experience, forcing you to hybernate in megaton wishing there was more to do, collect...
You know the guy outside wanting purified water? Or the church of atom donations? What useless garbage!!! no more! Follow instructions please:
1) setup a dummy character ready to steal. kill for karma, donate to a church for karma, etc... exit game.
2) Modify the line in the txt (file provided by the mod karama xp) to this:SetOnActorValueChangeEventHandler 1 (begin function {int iAV, float fOld, float fNew}
if iAV != 23
return
endif
rewardxpexact (abs ( (fOld - fNew - 5)/4 ))
end) 0 23
This line...rewardxpexact (abs ( (fOld - fNew - 5)/4 ))
[
3) Explanation: The '5' is how much xp I earned for stealing a nuka cola. So.. I subtracted it. The '4' is for anything granting more than '5' experience, in my personal game setup. The 4 divides what xp is after 5, by 4.
4) Go in game, steal something. Change '5' to that amount. Then kill someone, or donate, do higher karma tasks. Ask self 'I want that divided by... 4? Or 3? Or 10?
5) Done, maybe start a new character. Test results on the dummy of your changes. I earned 5 xp for stealing, so that got 0'd out, and donating 100 caps gave me 111xp or something , so I wanted 25... so I used '4' for my setup.
Still open to other options. I want to be awarded for whatever choices I make, just want the lowball theft removed etc.
For versions past 1.10, Campfire scripting had bugfix modifications:
I modified the bugfix to inject expanded campfire crafting. If you encounter a problem with accessing campfire while in combat, or not, with or without the Home of the Range Perk from Honest Hearts, report it, post modlist you have potentially. Hidden is the original script by YUP for campfire, as backup information. If any problems arise from campfire, my solution is to first address it, otherwise remove it, go without:[/b]
