this patches The Happy place to work with DUST, it works fine but there WAS a bug where Lake mead appears and the water is all glitched out, this fixes that so that Lake mead stays dry while using this mod.

this patches The Happy place to work with DUST, it works fine but there is a bug where Lake mead appears and the water is all glitched out, this fixes that so that Lake mead stays dry while using this mod. I would change the narrative to fit Dust but that would require cutting or changing entire well put together scripts and lines and lines of voice acting. So until I find a better way to make it more immersive for Dust, its just a simple bug fix mod for now.

Happy, Halloween! I've tried to get this out by Halloween, but I think I might be a bit late. Oh, well/\. Here's the beta version of this very strange mod known simply as The Happy Place. I hope you enjoy this weird mod, and I thank you all for your continued support. So without further ado, let's get into the story.
A legend permeates the Mojave of a unseen force that attracts children to itself, causing a rash number of disappearances since before even the great war. Every Year, Every October, 15 children leave their homes inexplicably, and are never heard from again. While passing through Goodsprings, The Courier (you), come across a very tired Detective inside the Prospector Saloon. Down on his luck and needing some quick caps, he hires the courier on as a helping hand. The Investigation will take you to a strange mansion located in Goodsprings. A place the Locals never really talk about. Some say it's cursed, and others say it's pure superstition. All people really know, is that it is a house of no return.
This is my attempt of a Horror Mod. Does it work? Well, I'll leave that up to you to decide, but I will say that had successfully made me jump in a few incidents. Player Beware. You're in for a scare.

So, this is not the type of mod you want to rush through. You want to take things slow, think, and make sure to read all notes to be sure as to what you have to do. Remember the layout of the house, remember some of the clues around the house, and use your limited supplies carefully. If I had to compare this mod to anything, think Old School Resident Evil or Old School Silent Hill. If there are quest markers, they are limited. No hand holding. Figure it out.
To maintain the tone of the mod, I also suggest that you don't take any companions, because that could make things weird.
If you have an issue of getting stuck after leaving the master bedroom, hard reset your game. New Vegas is notorious for having those issues.
I'm not going to answer any more posts asking about that anymore.

Player Race mods that do not have a Child Variant (can cause issues later on, and only if you are currently playing as that race)
-Temporary Resolution for this is to type agerace 1 into the console. This will age up your character from child to adult.
