I love your mod, but it's incompatible with the weapon wheel of just assorted mods. I can't setup the weapon wheel, and when I use it, I lose the crossairs provided by the mod. I tried using the patch but it doesn't do anything. I tried putting your mod first on the order list. Also didn't do anything. Is this intended behavior? Thanks.
I am not sure what is wrong but i followed everything, downloaded all requirements and the icons still don't show up for the Weapons Hweel mod. I had the load order like this in case it could be the issue Consistent Pip-Boy Icons v5 - Framework Plugin Just Weapon Hweel Weapons Hotkey Icons and the compability patch installed
I'm really new to modding and Fallout and am unsure if I need to do something additional for the icons to show in my pip-boy. I have the framework installed and several of your icon mods but they aren't changing in the pip-boy.
This mod in particular doesn't show up in Pip-Boy, but rather in your Favorites Menu as you hold in one of the hotkeys. It also supports other mods that have different kind of favorites menu.
If you still can't see it, try making sure that these are on the latest version:
OMG I didn't know there was a Favorites menu...this is me facepalming. OK so is there something you recommend (one of your mods maybe) that replaces the Pip-Boy hot-keyed items? I use JAM and UIO fwiw.
I have most of your icon mods and the Consistent Pip-Boy Icons V5 - Framework Plugin
Clean Vanilla Hud (another mod of mine) covers some hotkey icons!
Don't worry about noticing the "Favorites"/"Hotkey" menu, It's a nieche part of the hud! This mod is based on cut content from Fallout 3 where AFAIK Weapons would have had unique popups and hotkeys icons.
This was probably cut because of time constraints along with how nieche it actually is. Though that is purely speculation on my part.
I like, and wanted a way to see the entire weapon icon, and wished to have the cut feature implemented back, so I drew every single weapon in Fallout 3 and New Vegas in that style.
I want to thank you for this mod. It's such a minor part of the ui in the game, something you barely see, but the category of icon is such a useful format and style (lack of vault boy) that I've made it so my patch for B42 quick throw will use these hotkey icons for the grenade ui element, and it fits very well. It's all dynamic, and uses the same functions from ShowOff. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/77674 I'm sure there are many more potential uses for hotkey icons in other mods to come.
ItsMeJesusHChrist, would it be a viable route if I ask them on their Posts section for permission on your behalf?
There's quite a few gun mods that sorely lack your touch, whenever I see them pop in the JAM Hweel Menu, Another Milennia + the Gun Addon, Classic Fallout Weapons Remaster and Supplementary Weapons Pack, to name a few.
I appreciate your enthusiasm towards my work. I would love to do it, but the reality is that the mods I have released have been an extremely uncomfortable time commitment. This would be no different.
As they have already made the Weapons Icons for Vault Boy to hold, It is less effort for them to reuse the asset to make Weapon Hotkey Icons. Thereas if I were to make it, I'd need to make two icons (per weapon) from scratch.
I can't stop and smell every flower on the side of the road if I want to achieve my grand goals: to remake every single vanilla icon with v5 Standard that covers both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Despite nearing completion, I still expect to have a year or two's worth of work to do.
Even if I brought along every flower I see with me on my journey, It would only distract me from doing other more creative and personal works, and smelling other amazing things, like dinner on a hungry stomach.
I do want to help out, but who do I prioritize when requests come from every angle, along with already heavy workload from my project. That's why I take on commissions. I greatly enjoy doing them, but honestly, it is mostly to manage the endless requests and keep the actual workload at a more manageable level.
I apologize for the lengthy response, but I wanted to clearly convey the reason for declining the request. I hope you understand :)
Totally understandable, I hear you dude. No need to apologise on the lengthy response it's actually nice to hear the reasons why for this and that sometimes, even though of course nobody here is obligated to so, so I guess that makes it even nice. But yeah, I can't play FNV without your UI mods installed, they've really lent themselves to making the game more cohesive and a pleasure to look at. Keep it up dude!

If you still can't see it, try making sure that these are on the latest version:
- xNVSE (6.3.3 or above)
- JIP LN
- Johnny Guitar
- ShowOff NVSE

You can see evidence of it here:

I have this installed but only just got around to use its magic.
I hold down a key I see the boxes appear but the gun doesn't save nor any icon come up.
I have the requirements listed..
Any ideas ?
Thanks.
If it still doesn't work, try updating XNVSE.
Let me know if you were able to fix it :)
They'd need to make a patch.
