[What This Is]

There's plenty of Revolvers out there in the Mojave Wasteland, and more beyond. Interestingly, most are chambered in things less than the .45 caliber.
Additionally, with the addition of the Honest Hearts DLC, there was a little opportunity for another .45-chambered weapon, but didn't seem to materialize.
Lastly, the Gun Runners Arsenal may have a quite a few Hunting Revolvers, but always with scopes.
With this mod (and the above DLC's) in mind, you can have a functional .45 ACP Revolver, complete with custom sounds, textues, and a passable model to boot.
There's also legend of a Unique variant out there, once owned by a rather suave adventurer, now at rest with him somewhere out there in the Mojave Wasteland... Wild, huh?

[What This Does]

+Adds a vague-but-functional representation of a .45 ACP Revolver, loosely based on and inspired by the Smith & Wesson Model 1917 Revolver.
+Adds this revolver to various Leveled Lists and Form Lists via Scripted Quest, including related Perks like the Cowboy Perk, as well as Challenge-meeting lists like White Line Nightmare.
+Optionally distributes it throughout the wasteland to NPC's, though if you'd rather just buy one, The Basics covers just vendors and the aforementioned perks and challenges.
+Adds a Unique variant to the game, but appropriately fits in as an inclusion with another mod I've put together. For now, said mod is required to acquire the unique variant through non-console means.
+Speaking of requirements, both "TheBasics" version and "TheWorks" version of this mod require HonestHearts and GunRunnersArsenal to be loaded and installed.
+There are alternate versions available focused on No-DLC and TTW compatibility. The former makes the weapon use .45-70 Govt. ammo, and the latter adjusts pricing to fit in with other things in that mod as well as adds more weapons to it's repair lists.
+The .45 Revolver uses a specific repair list. You can repair any .45 Revolver with more of it's kind, as well as .44 Magnum Revolvers, Hunting Revolvers, and .357 Magnum Revolvers.

[Update History]

(1.02)
+Added "NoDLC" versions of both "TheBasics" and "TheWorks".
+These versions make the gun use the vanilla .45-70 Govt. ammunition.
+As it says on the tin, they don't require DLC, just the vanilla base game.

(1.01)
++Added an optional TTW version of both "TheBasics" and "TheWorks", which adjusts the weaponry's pricing values and adds more guns to the Repair List, such as the .32 Caliber Pistol and the Police Pistol from Dead Money.

(1.00)
+Initial Release.

YOU! For finding, downloading, playing, and enjoying this mod!

Thank you all!

[Conclusion]

Sure, it might be a heck of a "kitbash" project, might even end up on one of those "MikeBurnFire" videos, but hey, it was fun making it. That and it serves to fill a void I haven't found completely filled in the New Vegas side of things until now.

Also, if you're curious as to how to get the Unique variant without using console commands, please check this mod out. I think you might understand the connection once you do.
