About this mod

A simple Bash script to automate creating and renaming wav/ogg files to work with Xoanon's Custom Radio Station.

Xoanon's Build Your Own No Repeat Day Radio Station is a brilliant mod that plays your custom songs on your Pip boy's Radio as well as in-world Sound systems.
But preparing songs is a chore!

This is what a typical preparation looks like:

1. Use a third party software to convert files to wav
2. Convert files to ogg
3. Rename EACH wav file MANUALLY as per Xoanon's naming standard.
4. Rename EACH ogg file MANUALLY as per Xoanon's naming standard.

The max limit of the mod is 30 songs.
Imagine the time consumption to prepare 30 songs!!!!

This script solves this problem by automating the process.
The entire preparation now takes no more than a minute

HOW TO USE IT:

Pre-requisite: If you're on windows, please install Git Bash. I'm sure cmd/powershell can handle what comes next but honestly Git Bash is so much easier and it gives you a "Git bash here" on right clicking, which is very convenient.
It's also the CLI I use on windows so instructions would be for the same.
If you know how to navigate via CMD/Powershell, please comment and I'll add instructions here.

1. Install FFMPEG
2. Put convert.sh extracted from the provided rar and your songs (Upto 30. Mp3/FLAC format) in /Data/Sound/songs/XoanonBuildYourOwn folder of your game.
3. Right click -> Git Bash here
4. Now type "./convert.sh" (without quotes) to run the script

And that's it!
Wasn't that awfully shrimple?
Now go blast some Johnny Cash in Mojave.

NOTE: The script deletes the original mp3/flac used, so make sure you're copying from your original music folder or you'll lose them.

If you like this mod and are feeling quite generous I could do with premium membership.
I've never had it and would like to give it a try.
But don't worry about it. I'm only curious.
Just have fun.
