Close to Nells AFB lies a previously undiscovered landfill, copious with junk, rubble and waste. Hidden within this haystack lies buried Vault 42, a gigantic network of with history riddled chambers, ready to be discovered and/or plundered!

The World We Knew

Description:

In a forgotten part of Nevada where a landlill hides the earth lies hidden a strange vault,
destitute of its inhabitants but instead filled with all manner of creatures.
Your role in this mod is to make your way through this vault and close its unresolved past,
all while fighting varying enemy types, solve puzzles and walk through sometimes maze like interiors.

Beside the main story of the vault there is plenty of backstory,
ranging from terminal logs to scattered notes, but also the tale of the Gooseman,
Interesting unique collectibles which lead to an ultimate bonus room.

Balancing:


Once you enter the vault, you can only exit by finishing the quest.
therefore it is recommended to bring plenty of ammunition and healing items.
In the vault there ought to be plenty of oppertunities to loot te restore the used supplies.
About a dozen new weapons and apparel with custom texture or mesh have been added which can used if all else fails.
Starting level is up to player, but I recommend from 20 or higher.

Dynamic Environment:


Incorporated within the vault are more than a dozen new uniquely themed interior cells. Each with a dynamic environment,
some world objects can be interacted with or may respond to its live surrounding.
The radio has a new station exclusive to the vault, most light fixtures can be blown up to darken the room, and more!

Start:

The landfill can be found nearing the border of the world map, slight north of Nellis AFB.
From the blown up Nellis town there's a road that leads to the landfill.
An Alien souvenir and service shop is at the start of this road, so it should be quickly found.
The entire landfill, the road leading up to it and the service shop are in vanilla unaccesible areas of the map.

Updates:

V1.1:

- Cleaning up junk records. Unnecessary changes far beyond the game location have been removed.
- Completed the navmesh for the external location.
- The ESM flag is set.
- Objects affected by scripts are made quest objects. So that scripts do not stop after the ESM flag.
- Wear has been added to items in characters' inventories.
