About this mod

Obsidian, the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, initially intended for the interior Strip monorail to be part of the strip world space. However, it was cut from the game due to performance concerns on the PS3. This mod aims to bring back Obsidian's original vision for the New Vegas Strip Monorail.

Changelogs
I always disliked the way the interior strip monorail looked. The exaggerated lighting to create the illusion of being outdoors was harsh on the eyes. But now, there's no need for illusion – the Strip Monorail truly is outdoors.
Here's what you can expect from this mod:

  • Enhanced Viewing Angles: In the base game, the back of the Ultra Lux Resort is never visible, but I've restored it in this mod. Now, when you arrive on the strip, you'll enjoy a fantastic view.
  • Restored Monorail Door Sounds: The monorail door in the base game has open and close sounds that never play due to a setup issue. I've fixed this problem, so now the door sounds work as they should. This fix isn't included in YUP, so even if you've played since the game's release, you might not have heard these sounds.
  • Fully Navmeshed: It turns out that the original cut-open monorail's navigation mesh is still present in the strip world space. Obsidian forgot to delete it, so I've repurposed it for my mod after making some adjustments.
  • Extensive Testing: I've dedicated more than half of the development time to rigorous testing to ensure everything works smoothly.
  • Cleaned in xEdit: This mod is clean and free of issues in xEdit. There are no ITMs (Identical to Master records), deleted records, or errors.

Compatibility:
  • Fully compatible with TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands). A TTW version is available.
  • Compatible with most strip overhauls.
  • Works seamlessly with Simple Open Strip, The Strip Open, FPGE (Functional Post Game Ending), and BSO (Brightweight Strip Overhaul).
Credits:
  • Obsidian for Fallout: New Vegas.
  • Nexus for hosting my mod.

Enjoy your enhanced Strip Monorail experience!
