  • B42 Notify
  • B42 Real Time Weapon Modding
  • B42 Descriptions
  • B42 Inspect
  • AidUI

M.U.X. also contains oHUD functionality, and oHUD, iHUD, or Contextual HUD should not be used with it - all of those features are integrated.

The HUD Editor
functionality is also built into M.U.X. - HUD Editor is not needed. The only function that does not have a M.U.X. equivalent is rotation and resizing.

M.U.X. Series - Power Armor Overview:
M.U.X. Series - Power Armor adds the fancy UI for Power Armor which is known from Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. One of the very few things those games did well. All power armor functionality is taken over from MUX, So you wont miss anything . It comes with a dedicated Design to avoid issues, and overlapping. It’s possible you May have to change the Subtitle Y in the Editor, that will depend on the Preset. Due too my own Limitations, RAD is Actually Dangerous wont be displayed in the Power Armor UI. Classic and Lite are unsupported.

Whenever you equip a Body Armor which is classified as Power Armor it will bring up the UI. Otherwise you wont see it.

M.U.X. Series - Additional Overview:
M.U.X. Series - Addons is a set of Small UI Mods which expand the Vanilla UI with new Elements which are known from Modern Game such as Floating Damage, Healthbar, Far Cry Targeting and more.

  •     Floating Damage: Adds numeric damage displays akin to the Borderlands games.
  •     Floating Healthbar: Adds a floating health bar.
  •     Targeting UI: Adds a Far Cry-inspired camera tagging mechanic.
  •     Controller Tweaks: Reworks the vanilla hotkey system. Seamlessly integrates gameplay mods and allows you to register hotkeys through an INI.
  •     Scavenger: Highlights nearby lootable objects.
  •     Reload Reminder: Adds an ammo status reminder to the game. (Reload, Low Ammo, No Ammo)
  •     Visual Sneak shows "Detected by whom" as Floating Marker.

Additional Notes to Controller Tweaks
Spoiler:
Show

Controller Tweaks can seamlessly integrate gameplay mods, saving you frustration as alternative solutions such as Controller NVSE, RWASD and Xpadder lack this ability. The only downside is that a specific controller mapping layout is required, which you can read about below

    Attack                 RT
    Activate              Y
    Block                   LT
    Ready/Reload    X
    Sneak                  B
    Jump                   A
    Change View      RB
    Pip-Boy               Select
    Wait                    LS
    Vats                    LB
    Grab                   RS
  • Sprint Key is meant to be used with Just Mod Assorted. While sitting down, you can press the key to wait instead.
  • Grab Key Y double map. Activated by tapping Y. Holding down the key will allow you to grab objects. Recommended for use alongside Bash Key, as it disables RS' default function fully.
  • Bash Key is meant to be used alongside B42 Bash. Set the hotkey to K in MCM.
  • Vats Key will remap the LB button. Tapping it will activate V.A.T.S., while holding it will activate Bullet Time. Meant to be used with Just Mods Assorted.
  • Quickthrow Key is meant to be used with B42 Quickthrow. Disables RB's default function. Set Quickthrow hotkey to L in MCM.

The hotkey rework includes 2 additional entries: Weapon Mod Menu and Gadget. Gadget lets you register hotkeys, which you can then use at your convenience. May not cooperate with absolutely everything, but the likelihood of incompatibility is very low. Creates an .ini, like in the example. The .ini can only include one hotkey. The .ini only accepts DirectX input, so please don't try to use letter symbols. Here's a list of codes:  Keys
    [Hotkey]
Name=Inspect Condition               ;Name of the Function
Key=22                                             ; The Hotkey you set in its MCM Menu

Additional Notes to Controller Tweaks Quick Use:
Quick Use behave like the Hotkey. Using Dpad A and B to controll it. Using DPAD Right/Left allow to change Category. Using RB Allow to Apply a Filter eg Energy Weapons only.

How to customize:

MUX Settings are split into 2 parts allowing you to customize the mod to your liking.

Part 1: OX - Toolkit. Pressing F11 opens the Editor. Disconnect your controller or use the Stewie Tweaks settings allowing simultaneous use of controllers and mouse and keyboard - otherwise this menu wont work  correctly. Any settings you save will be carried over to a new game.

Part 2: Setting.xml, which can be located in "Data\Menus\Prefabs\VUIE" allows you to apply additional miscellaneous edits which I've excluded from the menu.

Mind that even though the editor displays all options by default, this doesn't have to mean that your current preset supports them. If you notice that your changes aren't applied, it could either be because the group is assigned to another group or the preset doesn't support it.

I know that some people try to modify my files haphazardously, which can lead to technical issues. "Works on my machine" isnt a valid argument. If you want to disable things, then please don't delete anything, as this would break the scripts. In most cases MUX uses Queue Arrays, which relies on the mod's tiles. If you delete anything, the script will get stuck and may mess up your save file. Please use the convert to rect method to effectively disable things without breaking anything. You have been warned.

Compatiblity
This Mod is not compatible with anything altering HudMainMenu.xml, Vats.xml or Hud_Template.xml.
This include following Mods:

The Hud Editor
oHUD or any standalone version of it
MTUI
Revelation use Revelation Lite instead
Fallout New Californien

Mods using ModAV to change HP/AP Like Dynamic Level Stat Choice. Regardless of how you script the Player Max HP/AP Detection it will be always misleading if ModAV is involved. Either you be able to dect it but end up with Duplicates in the Formula which you cant filter out or you end up with to be low.
I use later formula as the Base Game dont do it.

There won't be any support for the HUD Editor. In my experience the mod still has its problems, and the lack of updates doesn't have me holding my breath either. I don't want to spend my time integrating something nonfunctional. Furthermore, it doesn't support V.A.T.S., which is already a no-go for me.

Darn UI has several problems with its font that have never been fixed. As my UI doesn't support any "alignment", this would lead to several problems. Darn's last official statement was to ask before editing the mod. As my UI affects the same areas, I'd have to do just that, which would violate Darn's permissions.

The vanilla UI is beset by problems. That's why I worked with VUI+, which allows me as an author easy access and doesn't cause any compatibility issues. Additionally, my UI uses features from VUI+ to function. However, you can set VUI+ up in the same way as DarnUI. Locate Fonts.xml in Data\Menus\prefabs\VUI+\ and open the file with Notepad. At the bottom you'll find the entry 'Menu-specific fonts'. Change every value to 3. In the same folder, you'll find the 'Setting.xml' file, which allows you to edit the height/width ratio of menu lists, allowing you to display more elements. Customize it according to you preferences. This setting makes elements smaller without holding any risk of visual bugs or other issues that DarnUI suffers from.

There also won't be any support for oHUD. I doubt Gopher would respond to my requests. My UI uses a different structure and supports toggling elements by default. In addition, there is an Immersive HUD addon that is essentially a more modern version of oHUD, supporting fade-ins and -outs instead of having elements blip in and out of existence.

Semi Compatible Mods:
B42 Notify - MUX did merged the Location Reminder in the message system which B42 Notify does not recorgnize.
Stewie Teaks - Some Tweaks does work out of Box some does has no affect. Nothing breaking its just Visual.
B42 Bow - Modifier Vanilla to hide the misleading Values which has no affect on MUX.
Just Mod Assorted / Just Visual Objects - MUX include a own version of the Visual Floating Markers so please disable them in JAM.

Any kind of Font Replacer changing the widht or height of Font Type 3 are strict incompatible. MUX is compatible with VUI+ Classic Fonts.
Got to menus\prefabs\vui+\fonts.xml and open it. (In VUIE archive )Change the Font setting to 4 to apply it. All Preset/Addons/Extra Support this.

Known Issues
Message element does have an issues with controller buttons. They do not scale with font size and caused to be misplaced. I recommend to use a mod like Tutorial Killer as the problematic nessage only come from tutorial nessage.

Requierments
M.U.X. Series requires the following mods: VUI+ 9.48 or later.
Let M.U.X. overwrite VUI+. NEVER let another mod overwrite M.U.X..

As well as the usual script extenders, as I don't track where the functions I use stem from.
JIP LN NVSE
Johnny Guitar NVSE
ShowOFF NVSE
AnhNVSE
UIO - User Interface Organizer
xNVSE

M.U.X. Archive has to be Loaded after VUI+. The Plugins dosent matter.

Reporting a Bug

Please use the Bug Reports section and provide all nessecary information. Preferably a video/image and a reliable method of reproduction. Bug reports from users without VUI+ will be ignored.

In Addition, a Screenshot showing the Info Tab of OX Toolkit is required to report a bug. Otherwise, I will delete the report.

Not following these simple rules will result in a ban from all my mods. Im sick of mod pages' comment sections being flooded with people complaining instead of simply reading a description.
