This mod is a complete overhaul of the player home in Megaton, nearly rebuilt from the ground-up. There is a kitchen, a living area, a bathroom, a bedroom area and a workshop area. I was grateful to have received the place as a quest reward for disarming a nuclear warhead, but was extremely disappointed to find that I would have to spend thousands of caps just to be able to use basic crafting stations. I also thought it was odd it was being occupied by a random Mr. Handy, so Wadsworth has been retired.

The second floor was barely habitable, with thin catwalks and most of the floor missing, so that has been changed. The second floor is now actually a second floor. The house interior now matches the size of the exterior properly. Themes have been made redundant, as this mod is as-is and will not be utilizing them. Thus, dialogue for purchasing themes and other house items has been removed.

Lighting has been fixed so you can actually see where you're going and bulbs are properly placed. Clouds of dust have been removed, as well as light beams strangely going through solid walls have been removed. You can also now fast travel from inside the house.

Features:

Workbench
Reloading Bench
My First Infirmary
Chemistry Set (reusable every 3 days)
Cooking Stove (can make survival/campfire recipes)
Organized dedicated storage containers for weapons, armor, clothing, ammo, etc.
Safe storage (no respawn)
A bobbleheads display shelf
A snowglobes display shelf
Purified water sources (optional)
A bed plus a spare for followers (for immersion)
Scissors to cut your hair (on the bathroom sink)
Functioning coffee machine
Working light switches

Required:

Tale of Two Wastelands 3.3.2+

Installation:

For New Saves

Install normally with your mod manager of choice or manually and do NOT use the optional patch.

For Existing Saves

1. Before installing the mod, remove all of your possessions from the home. If you have not finished the quest to disarm the bomb, go and do it first. Go outside of Megaton and save your game.

2. Install this mod, if you HAVE finished the quest already to disarm the bomb download the optional patch as well and load it after or your house will be called "Empty House" still.

3. Moira may still sell the house themes and addons, do not buy them as they are now useless.

Compatibility:

Sortomatic is incompatible. Use Stash Organizer instead.
Any mod that modifies Moira, Lucas Simms or Harden Simm's dialogue needs a patch.
Any mod that changes Megaton should be fine, but possibly needs a patch.
Any mod that modifies the quests MS11 or HD01 needs a patch.
Any mod that changes the Megaton home obviously is incompatible.
