Excellent mod, I have a soft spot for mods made with balance in mind but add more flavour!
The only issue I have with it is that it isn't affected by the Grunt perk for me, I'm running YUP + Jsawyer as well as ChunksAhoy's 'No Weapon Left Behind'. I opened up FNVEdit to correct the base damage values to match Jsawyer's and fiddled around with load order but can't get the perk to recognise this weapon.
Which version of the mod are you using by chance? The complete edition at least they've already been added to the Grunt perk. It's all done through script so there shouldn't be any conflicts for mods that might effect the Grunt perk -- unless they've changed the editID name for that is.
Glad you like the mod either way despite the little hiccup there! The battle kits/skins were my favorite part about porting this so nice to know the extra mile taken for them is appreciated..
Complete edition, I checked in FNVEdit that the script for injecting them is there but for some reason, it's not applying in-game. I'm assuming it's something on my end like a mod conflict or spotty install rather than a fault with the mod itself, I've tried it at the bottom of my load order but that hasn't worked either.
Also, the Battle-Tested skin is my favourite one, wasteland aesthetics and it looks like the one from Tactics ^_^
Was wondering if this was ever figured out? I have this and the USP 45 mods installed, and acquired the Grunt perk after obtaining the weapons. The damage is unchanged. Unfortunately without the perk, the damage is a little underwhelming compared to the vanilla weapon options. I wouldn't mind having to adjust the damage values manually but I don't actually know how to do that lol
Edit: Figured out how to manually set the damage values in FNVEdit and just did the math for each of the guns I'm using.
Because it's not a real samurai edge, I put that down in the description. the model is not from Resident Evil at all. I tweaked the texture to LOOK like it. Hence why the variants are called Edge instead of Samurai Edge. A real Samurai Edge is a 92FS anyway, this is the military M9 so that's two things that makes it not a real Samurai Edge if you want to get technical..
I could have not made them at all lol. They were a request anyway. Besides that's not the whole point of this mod anyway, it's a M9 mod not a Samurai Edge mod with the focus on the M9 itself. Any variants beyond that are just bonuses.
Like I said this isn't a Resident Evil mod bro. I could have had placed the STARS logo on the texture believe me, but I chose not to for reasons. One of them being it wouldn't make much sense to have a Racoon City PD stamp on a gun in the middle of the Mojave.
I mean it's not like the classic games had guns like the P90 and M9 (yes technically Tactics was the only one with the Beretta, but the P90 still is a thing in Fallout 2) in them. Even this game the Marksman Carbine is a modern tactical AR-15 with an ACOG scope and a recoil compensating stock. An M9 fits in the Mojave just fine.

Hey there I'm actually the one who requested them and I get wanting them to look as close to the original as possible but when compared to other Samurai Edge mods I've tried I'm not complaining. In fact I'm practically overjoyed at how good this mod is. I meant what I said about this mod never leaving my load order.

I even wrote in the goddamn description the BONUS, UNIQUE VARIANT that's not even in the standard edition of the mod, you know the M9? that the Edge variant is INSPIRED by, not BASED on the Samurai Edge's basic colour scheme of a black slide and silver barrel, which was as piss easy as just assigning already existing textures from Call of Duty. The only edit I actually did to the texture was modify the grip to be a mix of wood and synthetic. I even told you it would be piss easy to add the STARS logo onto the gun but I didn't for reasons. Maybe if you didn't come in here with an attitude, I might have considered adding an optional texture with it for those that clearly care about it but I sure as hell ain't any time soon.

It's a bad port if I'm honest. Back when I first started modding. There's the broken handgrip and the textures are compressed something fierce. I don't even think it has proper alpha channels in the normal map either. It's a big mess and not up to current standards you could say lol.
I find the weapon sounds to be rather lacking. Way too wimpy. I own an M92FS and carried an M9 downrange, so I can say from experience, this really doesn't right :T
Everything else is GREAT! Just not the actual gunshots. It sounds more like jumbo bubble wrap than a 9mm slug breaking the sound barrier.
Sadly the sounds were what was available in Modern Warfare Remastered's game files. Call of Duty in general isn't really known for the best of gun sounds, well besides maybe the new ones like MW2019 and MW2022. But older titles are a bit lacking in that department.
