Oh boy, what a joke. Like all those crappy skill increase perks from Fallout 3, but with extra steps. Try this change on for size:
"You have come to understand Nightstalkers. Nightstalker-based consumables grant increased benefits, and you have an easier time landing hits on them in VATS."
Pre-perk Changes Before getting into the details of the perk, this mod also makes some improvements to some consumables even for characters without the perk:
Nightstalker Tails' healing duration lasts an extra second with Food Sanitizer. In hardcore, they now restore 15 starvation, or 17 with Food Sanitizer.
Mushroom Cloud healing duration increased by two seconds with Food Sanitizer. In Hardcore mode, it restores 32 starvation, or 35 with Food Sanitizer.
The above bonuses will become more potent with a higher Survival skill. The aforementioned items did not affect starvation nor benefit from Food Sanitizer in the vanilla game, despite many similar food items working that way.
Nightstalker Squeezin's give their original stat buffs even if you don't have the perk.
"Nightstalker-based consumables?" These include Nightstalker Tails, Mushroom Cloud, Hydra, and Nightstalker Squeezin's. Each of these are either harvested directly from Nightstalkers, or are made with ingredients obtained from them. The positive effects of all four of the aforementioned Aid items have their potency doubled upon taking the Mile in Their Shoes perk.
Extras
Chance to hit Nightstalkers in VATS is increased by 25% (Their head hitboxes are off, so aim for other body parts in VATS!)
A couple vanilla quests have new Mile in Their Shoes dialogue options.
