This mod allows armor to directly soak some damage for player (additionally to the usual DT). In return, armor gets shredded much faster. The heavier armor - the better percentage it absorb damage (including explosions) for player (and player's limbs).

From time to time I was wondering why your character get shredded to pieces while your armor stays almost prestine. This mod changes this a little by transfering damage to your character to your armor. The heavier armor - the better protection it gives to you. Power Armor should make you pretty decently protected now (in theory). However, you will have to repair armor constantly to keep it in perfect shape.
CUSTOMIZATION
How much damage every type of armor absorbs can be customized in "TheSecondSkin.INI" file (place in ".../Data/Config). By default, values are:
Light Armor - Absorbs up to 25%
Medium Armor - Absorbs up to 50%
Heavy Armor - Absorbs up to 75%
Power Armor - Absorbs up to 100%
Headgear - Absorb up to 33%.
Your limbs are protected by your armor as well, as long as it can hold on. Explosion can partially bypass even power armor protection but, you can consider it as shock damage that managed to get through steel plates.
You can get a new trait to increase durability of your armor and headgear under enemy fire. "Armadillo" increseas Courier DT by 10% and decreases armor degradation by 50%. As your penalty - you deal 10% less damage with every weapon.
MECHANICS
When you character take 50 points of damage and you are protected by Leather Armor (Light), your character will take only 37.5 points of damage while other 12.5 of damage goes to Leather Armor. This will get less sturdy to minor damage but your armor detiorates much faster. Your limbs take less damage as well.
