MODDERS RESOURCE: A port of the "Heavens Night" neon sign from Silent Hill 2, with permission from Konami

Description:


Just a modders resource of the neon sign from Silent Hill 2.

Mod contains blender file, mesh, texture, and optional .esp that places sign within Joanas rooms, if you want to see what it looks like yourself in game.

Have been sitting on this for a while, would love to see it used in game. Send me your screenshots if you do end up using it.


installation:


Drop assets into your data folder. Enable ESP if you want to see it in your game.Technical:

  • The ESP is to give potential modders an idea of what the signage looks like in game.
  • This mesh does not have a bounding box (as it is a sign)
  • The ESP is not necessary to make the assets work in your mod
  • The mesh itself Relatively small when placed in game as it is from an older game
  • Will glow as a neon sign does if placed in game. Demonstration of this can be seen in screenshots.
  • If you end up re-exporting the static mesh from blender, you will have to set NiMaterial to the following settings to get it to glow.
  • these settings are provided in the screenshots of my photo Gallery, but can also be copied from the "Open 24 hours" vanilla sign.

Permission to use assets from this mod in original work, up to and including mash-ups, retextures, improvements to existing assets, conversion to a
different body type, quests or inclusions in an overhaul, etc perpetually granted, even in the event of this authors absence, provided the user credits me and every creator I have credited for their hard work. The exception to this is commercial content. Each individual creator whose assets have been used in this work reserves the right to revoke permission for use of assets at anytime. Q: Can I use KONAMI copyrighted materials for non-commercial purposes?

Generally, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. does not object to fans using copyrighted materials for non-commercial purposes, and in a manner which does not intentionally spoil the plot of a game for other players. By "non-commercial" we mean that you cannot use our copyrighted material to promote a product you are selling or making any profit from, like wallpapers, t-shirts, skins for electronic devices, etc. nor can you use it to monetise a website or a media channel.
