I was also worried about the clipping but I've seen a lot of hiking trails irl which pointlessly create a wood-plank path on a steep incline. Neat mod.
I know this is a very, VERY late response, but the clipping is truly intended. I wanted to make the path look aged and unused, hence the abandoned tent due to the cazadors taking over the area. The owner of the tent is not found, suggesting that the owner either retreated back to the Ghans territory, or they perhaps died at some point with the body not found. The contents of the tent (from the drugs, alcohol, and choice of weaponry) suggest the person(s) was truly a Khan, perhaps defending the territory by standing watch, rather than someone spying on the Khans from afar, such as an NCR ranger. The tent is intentionally slightly buried, showing age. The path is slightly buried, showing age. Some of the bucket lighting is knocked over, showing age.

Kudos for this :D I'm running back and forth this two locations in my current playthrough, and was wondering if there's anything to make it faster to clime up that path, and then found your mod at random XD
