Changelogs
This mod was inspired by real-world Special Operations Forces and their use of plain clothing mixed with military gear. Given that the Rangers are considered special forces and are renowned for their ability to infiltrate enemy territory, it would make sense for the NCR Rangers to use that same tactic.
This mod adds 25 custom sets of armor and script injects 24 of them into the civilian and patrol ranger leveled lists. Additional eyewear and headwear (vanilla and custom) have been added to their lists along with assault carbines and service rifles. The veteran rangers are not affected by this mod.

4.86:

-Once again reworked the armor change script for the named rangers. Ranger Morales' and Jackson's corpses should now be properly affected.
-Removed the bandanaredgo.nif from meshes.
-Changed the Modified Ranger Carbine's recipe to use the GRA Assault Carbine if you have GRA Arsenal installed.
-Changed the Modified Ranger Carbine's extended magazine mod to use the GRA variant if you have GRA Arsenal installed.
-Corrected minor clipping issues on the relaxed trooper armor's back.

4.85:

-Reworked the armor change script for the named rangers. Mod now requires Showoff NVSE
-Added Assault Carbine (vanilla and GRA) to Ranger Modified Carbine's repair list
-Made Ranger Milo's carbine playable
-Removed the named JIP gl_.txt file version of the named ranger armor change script.

Pano NVG features:

The panoramic NVGs require Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision (ARTN) for the night vision effect. When equipped, a [Toggle] variant will be added to your inventory. This is the "nods down" version and is added to the necessary ARTN list for the night vision effect to function. The night vision is toggled via the same key used for ARTN. The [Toggle] variant is weightless and marked as a quest item. It will be removed from your inventory when you remove the "Advanced Ranger NVGs" from your inventory. Hotkey the [Toggle] variant to toggle the nods up and down or you can equip them through your Pip-Boy.
Additionally, followers who have the goggles equipped will bring their goggles up or down along with yours. If their nods are down, their NVGs will be hidden from their inventory. They will reappear when they equip the folded up nods.
I have taken great care to address any issues I ran into and could foresee. That being said, these scripts aren't perfect. You may run into issues such as the goggles going missing from your followers' inventory or duplicating within them. Another example is equipping another piece of head gear while your nods are in the down position. They are scripted to equip the folded variant when you unequip the nods down version. So equipping another piece of head gear twice is necessary when switching to another piece of head gear from the toggled nods.

Past changes:

4.84:

-Once again tinkered with the script for Ranger Anders' disguise change. He should now
properly change to his Vault 3 disguise when you first encounter him.
-Added NCR Trooper and Patrol Ranger armors to the repair lists for my armor.
-Changed texture path for the extended head wrap and removed its green, vertex color.
-Buffed lighter armor health from 100 to 250.

4.83:

-Adds shader skin flag to male Relaxed Trooper armor so that it matches character skin.
-Adjusted script for Ranger Morales and Jackon's corpse. They would wrongfully
respawn an item immediately after it was removed from their inventory.
-Adjusted script for Ranger Milo. He was still spawning without 5mm ammo for his Ranger Modified Carbine.
-Added a line to Ranger Anders' script that removes his vanilla patrol armor.
He was wrongfully equipping it after you first encounter him.

4.82:

-Changed file path for magazine pouches and chest rig so that that they may benefit from retexture mods (i.e. Morinn's Upscaled Vanilla Armor Textures)
-Removed 'chestrig' texture folder.
-Changed scripts to correct Ranger Milo receiving the wrong rifle and not receiving ammo.
-Removed the NVSE script dialogue condition for Ranger Anders disguise change.
He should only change outfits after Colonel Hsu thanks you for bringing
him back.

4.81:

-Slight adjustment to folded pano night vision. Changed the angle that they rest at.
-Adds respawning chests to Ranger Station Bravo, Delta and Foxtrot. See images.

4.80:

-Changes the male mesh for the armored ranger outfit. See images.
-Changes the male and female mesh for the Wasteland Ranger Mesh. See images.
-Changes the script for Anders' disguise change. Will only be triggered when
Colonel Hsu thanks you for bringing him back. New game required.
-Changes the armor effect names to be more generic. Instead of most armor
effects showing "Ranger Pointman Armor" they will now say "Ranger
Armor".

4.72:

-Adds missing bandana folder.
-Adds new set of armor: Ranger Night Raid Armor (ArmorRangerNightOps). Shown in the NVG images.
-NVGs replaced with HD versions.

I accidentally overwrote the original version :(

Version 4.71:

-New mesh for the panoramic NVGs. I'm MUCH happier with them now. See images.
Combines 4.6's update files:
-Minor adjustments to the male versions of the Relaxed Patrol Armor and the Armored Red Scarf Ranger Outfit
-Distribution script fix

Version 4.6:

Adds one new set of armor (Red Scarf Ranger Casual Armor).
Combines 4.5 with past update files including redoing certain armor meshes and a
fix for an issue where slung helmet is on your character even if ranger
combat helmet isn't in your inventory.

4.5 update file's mesh edits for some of my least favorite meshes include:

-Ranger Field Hand Armor
-Ranger Pointman Armor
-Light Armored Red Scarf Ranger Outfit
-Armored Red Scarf Ranger Outfit
-Relaxed Trooper Armor

I'm a lot happier with how these turned out. See images.

Version 4.5:

A small update but one I wanted to release before school picks back up. The main
feature of this mod is the addition of the panoramic NVGs. A new set of
armor is added (Field hand assault armor) and changes are made to
certain meshes. Changes include:

Mesh changes to:
-All magazine pouches have been scaled down and are more compact. They now match the height of the Marksman Rifle magazine.
-Armored Red Scarf Ranger - Small scarf adjustment.
-Ranger Field Hand (Male) - Edits vest.
-Field Medic Armor (M) - Edits vest and gloves.
-Adds "pipboyon:" sleeves to the male, field medic armor. Should address invisible arm when worn.
-Addresses arm clipping for the male poncho armors.
-Adds female variants to the extended head wrap and roving trader headset to address hair clipping through.
-Adds flags to the ranger buckles and ranger beret emblem so that they may benefit from Real Time Reflections.
-NCR Ranger Assault Carbine name changed to "Ranger Modified Carbine".
-Scoped ranger modified carbines have been given the "##SightingNode2" flag so
that you may use its iron sights via the "iToggleSightingNodeHotkey"
 in lStewieAl's Tweaks.
-Panoramic NVGs and my custom ranger combat helmet have been added to the civilian rangers' leveled lists.
-Added green tint to panoramic NVG lenses and scaled the NVGs down by 10%

Version 4.0:

Update:
Adds two new sets of armor. See images.
Corrects the script for Anders' disguise change.
Adds workbench recipe for Ranger Assault Carbine. Requires Guns 40, assault carbine, 10mm pistol silencer and weapon repair kit.
Adjusts bandana mesh to sit slightly lower on face.
Adds 4 bandanas to rangers' leveled lists; black, red, olive and plain (Jessup's variant).

Adds slung helmet script, similar to my other mod, to the NCR Ranger Combat helmet. The helmet will appear on your character's waist when in your inventory and not equipped.

The real (maybe) final version. Consider this a beta version as I don't have the time to fully play test it.
Version 4.0 requires JIP and JohnnyGuitarNVSE as it uses their non persistent method to distribute changes to named and generic Rangers. This should cause less issues/conflicts with this mod.
Changes to the named Rangers won't occur until after you load a save.
Should be safe to install and overwrite mid-save. HOWEVER, if you're upgrading this mid-save from a previous version (3.0 or older), named Rangers might have duplicates of assigned armor in their inventory.

The main difference in this version is that it now achieves the named Ranger outfit changes via JIP/NVSE scripts. These scripts can be found in Fallout New Vegas\Data\NVSE\plugins\scripts. gl_NamedRangerArmorDistro changes the named Rangers' inventory. gr_RangerArmorDistro makes changes to the generic Rangers. Only Anders' disguise change is achieved via quest script. His outfit is no longer added as a reward as that was causing issues in some instances.
A suppressed, semi-auto Assault Carbine has been added to the Rangers' leveled lists. It can be modified with the assault carbine's extended mags and the 9mm pistol's scope.

Disclaimer:

The named Ranger changes run when you load your game. It checks to see if a certain item is in the Ranger's inventory. If it isn't, said item is added to and equipped by the Ranger. This can be exploited by removing the item from the Ranger's inventory, saving your game and reloading it. Doing this will result in a new set of armor being added to the Ranger's inventory. I noticed this while testing this on Ranger Morales'/Jackson's corpse.

Version 3.0:

This update mainly adds new headwear (see images) and eyewear (eyeglasses, tortoise shell glasses and biker goggles) to the Rangers' leveled lists and now affects the inventory of Ranger Dobson, Grant, Stevens and Ranger Morales' corpse. Some of the new headwear has been added to the scavenger and mercenary leveled lists. Ranger Milo has been equipped with Lily's Assault Carbine. I know he plays an over watch role in Back in Your Own Backyard, but I personally like to trigger that quest alongside Taking Back Nelson where Ranger Milo always gets rushed by attacking Legioniaires.
Version 3.0 requires JIP as it uses their superior method to distribute the armor and headwear to generic Rangers. Named Ranger changes are achieved through a scripted quest. This should cause less issues when installing this mid-save.

Version 2.0:

Added 6 new sets of armor:

Armored Ranger Vest Outfit
Tanned Ranger Pointman Armor
Casual Trooper Armor
Ranger Assault Armor
Armored Ranger Wanderer Outfit
Armored Ranger Casual Outfit

Ranger Anders' Disguise added as a reward. His disguise will be added to your inventory when speaking to Colonel Hsu. Specifically, Hsu's: "Anders showed up here not too long ago.." line. Upon triggering this line, Anders' outfit will be changed to one more suitable for Camp McCarran. Anders' Disguise reward and Anders' outfit change should still occur if you've triggered this line prior to mod install/update.

Version 1.2:

Version 1.2 strays away from the original, tactical premise of this mod and adds in 3 sets of Civilian Ranger Outfits. These new outfits focus on a more Western theme:

Ranger Cavalier Outfit
Ranger Rebel Outfit
Ranger Wanderer Outfit

All outfits provide a Crit. +3 and Guns + 10 bonus

Version 1.1 Update:
